I'm a fan of all races of women. Something that I've noticed is that in the Phila area, most of the white women will not cater to African American men. I've actually set up appointments, traveled, and called from their location, and they'd ask "Are you black?" when I'd respond yes.. they'd say "oh I'm sorry I can't see you." Or, when I'd call to set up an appointment they'd say "you sound black." I was just wondering if anyone could give me a LOGICAL reason as to why this is. I don't want to be so quick to throw the race card out.. I always said maybe they should post.. Only cater to white, hispanic, and asian men. Anyone help me out with this one? I'm really not trying to hear any racist remarks so.. if you don't have anything enlightening to say.. please keep it moving. Thanks.

Sadly enough even when it comes to hobbying racism still exist.  I have even heard of black providers not taking black clients.  I don't get upset about. That's there choice.  There are plenty of providers who don't care about race.  Much more than the ones that do.

i've heard on one occasion a provider saying they're too big.  So maybe not so bad of a reason after all.

Ran,

I'm a white guy but I guess I sound black (whatever that means) because I've been asked a number of times if I was.  Upon discussion I've heard every reason from "its just not my thing", to "they're generally too big", to other discriminatory things I won't dignify with elaboration.  Bottom line it there is a certain level of discrimination...and some of it may not be malicious...just like some guys won't seek out a provider of a given color....but some of it is just closed minded.

Maybe you should check more of the providers.  I have no problem seeing black guys and have seen quite a few.  I have gone out with black men in my private life also.  A few of the girls I know in the biz also have no problem, so maybe you are just hitting a run of bad luck with the wrong ones.

If prostitution were legal, discrimination would be prohibited. So while we may be discussing commercial sex, from a legal viewpoint it may be more like dating with benefits. In that setting, many women have defined tastes in men they date. The tastes may be racial, ethnic, age, etc.

This is a funny hybrid between a social and a commercial venture.

Ideally, race should play no role. In practice, however, things are different.

Morgan, you're spot on with that. "Beautiful BLACK women exclusively". is my personal preference. Nothing racist about it. That's just me.

The best part of this hobby is that we get to make choices...the providers, the hobbyists, everyone gets to choose what they will or wont do and whom they will or wont do it with.

I am a big guy and if a provider doesn't like fat guys...I understand...that said, I have wonderful relationships with many providers that value my company and friendship.  I have passed on many providers because they are too tall, too heavy or IMO, not attractive.  The difference is, I just don't call them and they never know that I passed on them.  If a provider does not offer services to specific types...she should list it in her ad to save the hobbyist time and potential embarrassment.

Again, just my opinion...I have read several ads from providers that don't want a fat dude...I just move on...and find one the will enjoy my company and benefits.

And I entertain many Caucasian gentlemen who see beautiful Black women EXCLUSIVELY.  At the end of the day, to each his own.
Although, I have seen ladies advertise including one race only.  This seems to be more appropriate than rejecting a request at the last minute, and so rudely as you've described...

Search for the right lady, for one that don't see black men there are some that see black.  Some non-black women AND Black female providers won't see black men well that's life,  there are non-black and black HOBBYISTS who won't see black providers or won't see dark or "black looking" ones, there are some who prefer and state they are only looking for white, asian on latina (I assume the more Penelope Cruz variety) without saying no black women but I don't cry about it (not saying you're crying). There will be to each their own. You have to just keep looking. There a lot of "colorblind" ladies that do exist.

And eh I know people say there isn't a way to sound black or white but I think they more so mean what pops into your head when you hear the voice. I've seen many a white and asian men that didn't "sound white" and black men or hispanic men that I am not afraid to admit I thought would be white. Race is completely unimportant ANYWAYS but it's definitely less important that how one treats a lady. There's good and bad in all creeds.

And pardon if I think that they won't see black guys basically because they're packing like mandingo bit is B to the S because for every BBD I've seen a small or medium one :)

This issue rubs up against many boundaries from racism to personal choice. The truth is our industry is racist not only providers but clients as well. Granted things change by degrees depending upon markets and some places are worse than others and yet there is still a problem.

I'm of the view providers who do not see men of color need to own up on their website. this way gentlemen such as yourself can see it and move on.  Yes, in the past women who were honest and put it on their site were harassed right or wrong. This is not a perfect solution nor is it a perfect world.

From our hiring page:
Character Requirements : "Professional with all persons regardless of ethnic background or social class"

As a side note, this is one of the many reasons I don't think I'll be bothering with the Philly market. We have uncompromising standards and over time it has become obvious the tone, consciousness and general belief systems of the area  is not compatible with us.

I feel for you

Sincerely

Lee Dreams

well sorry to hear of your troubles with other providers,
i will tell you  I hear the same thing from gents once we meet.  Nothing but wasting your time and effort.

i often  have gents say right in the email....
i am a man of  color, i hope this is not a problem, along with your age, and verification, ie date check or p411,
that way ladies  can check all ur past dates with   very little effort,

also if you have seen ladies on  TER , ask them to white list you  ..also makes you look good.

if you like to  test  run a Blonde Bunny..send me a email...
