It is simple as this: Rape is rape.  It is another classic example of a liberal judge interpreting the law to fit what her own personal moral beliefs.

To think a judge would act like that is unconscionable.  A very sad story.

That judge is way off mark. She really needs to have her head examined.
Sad really sad..

With a ruling as biased and bizarre as this one, there must be some history with this judge.  Not with this woman in particular, but something from this judge's past.  Maybe her dad caught with an escort?  This isn't rational behavior.

This is why we need to legalize prostitution to provide legal protection to providers from getting hurt, and clients from getting ripoff.

OK  I have a friend that used a credit card that wasnt hers and got caught in the hotel and thats what they charged her with.

That is not a charge that you give to a man who gang rapes anyone!! Regardless of i the girl was a provider or a fucking nun. Rape is rape. NOT theft of fucking services. I am going to do some damn research on other rape cases this judge has presided over. Geesh if this is what I have to look forward to n Philie...then I wnat to go home.

The main reason why I am relocating out of Philly.

Philadelphia is extremely cursed.

What a crock of shit!

That is clearly a violation of consent!  This was a group rape!  I hope this fucking judge gets what she deserves for reducing a rape charge to theft of services.  I feel terrible for these two women.  This will just make these men feel that they have the "RIGHT" to rape any provider they want and get away with it.

Her moral issues clouded her judgement.

She reduced it to theft of services!!!  She should've tossed out the case altogether since prostitution is illegal and there was no legal contract of services, it was a verbal contract but still illegal!!!  A fucking occupation hazard?  It's like construction workers falling off a building due to a faulty ledges or whatever.  It should be treated the same!!!

What a narrow mind this fucking judge has.  I am sure karma will come to her sooner than later.

one species exempt from Karma...  I know several! And they all live in a bubble where reality has little meaning.

Many of you follow the adventures of Jack0 and me on the P&R board.  Jack is a legal defender.  As such he plays word games - clearly to obtain an advantage in the legal system - which he would claim assists his client get a fair and just decision.  While in reality, he helps folks engaged in shady dealings obtain an unfail legal advantage.

We have come to a place in our society where clear violations and common sense review of the law as it applies in our every day lives no longer is the norm.  Recently, in my real life I have had to deal with a series of issues relating to how people deal with each other.  To be blunt about it, common sense is completely out the door in each of these events (by last count at least 4 in the past 4 weeks).

The judge is completely out of line... clearly in a prejudice against escorts.  yet another reason to legalize or decriminalize the business.

A disgrace.  Probably a Conservative judge who sees prostitution as a greater crime than carrying a gun.

I think this is another classic example of a judge that has decided to interpret the law in the way that they find to fit their personal beliefs.  Rape is rape-end of story.  To think that the judge would throw out the rape charges is ridiculous.
