POTTSTOWN - Jessica Venezia, 42, of Pottstown, was arrested July 22 at 8:45 p.m. for allegedly "facilitating" prostitution outside the Motel 6 off King Street.
According to police, Venezia agreed to come to the hotel with Edward Merkel, 39, of Boyertown. In exchange for money, Merkel was allegedly going to have sex with the woman.
During questioning, an officer found two pipes commonly used for smoking crack cocaine, police said. Venezia faces charges of disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia and prostitution.
Merkel was not charged in this incident.
