I tend to agree with jj, I think there's been alot of hype surrounding LE in KoP. I've been to KoP several times over the last couple of months and did not see any evidence of LE lurking around the hotels.
Look, before anyone goes off, I know the subject has been beat to death but I have but a simple question. With all the neg hype on the area, why are so many prov's still basing there? There are many ad's on EROS both local and out of towners. K o P is convienient for me, about the same distance as CC but for me going into town is a pain in the ass. If I were a provider I think I would opt for cc,airport or cherry hill. I do see one of my fav's there but I know I'm OK, she is very well reviewed and a fav of many, but like many a bit of variety occasionally is on tap.
There are reviewed gal's who tour to k o p that are attractive to me and I would love to see but the risk is all to much. So the question to those out of towners is why not some other area when you come to town? And no CL ad's please.
Question to the guys is, how do you feel about and how often do you hit the area to see someone new. Reviewed or TOFTT.
I think the KOP LE thing is overstated... Has anyone on this board heard of anyone getting busted??? As long as you stay with the well reviewed experienced ladies, I think everything is fine.. I would recommend staying away from the Raddison and Scanticon however...and CL !!

I would not hobby there-- NO way! LE has made a point that they don't want that activity in their city! AVOID!!!!
I saw a provider in KOP at the Scanticon a couple of months ago. I had heard about the KOP issues but decided to go since I had used the agency before and she was well reviewed. At the time, I had NOT heard any stories about LE forcing women to take appointments so they could bust the guys.
Anyway, it was her last morning in town and I was her only appointment that day. I was telling her that I had heard about issues in KOP and was somewhat nervous to make the appointment, and she told me that she learned the day before that HER HOTEL (Scanticon) was where the recent arrests were! She was NOT HAPPY with her agency and I was immediately afraid of a knock on the door!
She obviously didn't have a car and was using the courtesy van. I asked her if the driver or front desk had any idea of what she did, and she told me that the driver knew. He wanted to rock her world (and I know why!) and it wasn't an issue.
However, if I go to KOP in the future I WON'T be going to that hotel for sure!

I agree with Ziggs. I think the hype is overblown and if you use providers and agencies that screen well you will be fine.

I know a couple of girls that have been harrassed at the Raddison & Convention Center. Stay away !!!! and a provider from florida was arressted and she was no craigs list kind of gal.
KOP is a hard habit to break and some are willing to take the risk ; for the end of week payout. Its worth it, if you make it out, but if you don't , then what?
We are now going to Consohoken & Plymouth Meeting, because the risk is to great. If we do go to KOP it is only for the regulars. KOP is convenient and we do miss it. But the providers who show there faces on the web are getting noticed by LE and I know personally of a provider that was asked to come to the manager's office at a hotel and he pulled out a copy of her EROS AD. She politely got up and said " That is not me and do not harrass me again". Then she went to her room ; packed and left.
So everyone the threat is there and the risk is up to you to take, just be smart about it. I wish only the best for us, (ie.. Providers and Hobbists alike.)

Do a search on KOP and you will find the latest news article mentioned that 20 providers were arrested in the last 12 months. Since I only read about couple incidents in the news prior to that, the majority of the arrests did not even appear in the news. I've not heard of any clients got arrested, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen.
Personally, I've walked into one appointment with a provider hand cuff about a year ago. The LE harrassed me for 15 minutes and let me go.
Menewbie, I'd like to hear more about what happened. Did you go into the room and LE was there or were you stopped going in/out of the room. What kind of questions did they ask you and how/why did they let you go.
Also, I can't understand why hotels would want to help LE when in fact they are turning away their own business. If someone comes and goes from a room quietly what would they really care?
The LE coerced her to answer the phone to give out the room number for the next appointment.
I made an appointment early this year with a Brazilian EROS girl staying at the Best Western in KoP. I was a relative newbie to the hobby. I pulled into the parking lot of an abandoned lot right when you get off of the Schuylkill ramp which dumps you onto DeKalb Pike (202 North). Unfortunately, I had made too good of driving time and had arrived early.
I call. She understandably is not ready yet and asks to give her 15 minutes. Inexperienced, I then begin loitering in and out of my car in this lot which is next door to the motel. I look up at one point and see LE patrolling on rounds at a business park down the side street from the motel. I then get into my car, stupidly drive into the motel lot, and park again in a space furthest away from the rooms until such time as I can find out the room number.
I call back and she gives me the room number which, naturally, is on the complete other side of the motel. So I drive around the front of the motel, searching outside motel room numbers, pass the front office area off of Gulph Road.
Could be a coincidence what happened next. Could be that LE or motel staff had seen me loitering either in the motel lot or the neighboring abandoned lot. LE car evidently had
wheeled right off of Gulph Road and directly behind my car!
Do I just drive through the lot and out the back exit? Then LE could wonder why I had been "trespassing" in the lot without pulling in to go to a room. Is it just a coincidence that LE happened to have pulled behind me at that point? Well, I decide to try to act normal and keep looking for the motel room number. I spotted it. Then, I decide to pull one building past it to protect her in case LE really wants to ask me questions about her. I put on my turn signal and wheel into a motel parking spot. LE just kept going as if continuing on their rounds.
I went up to her room, moron that I am. I didn't want to scare her so I kept the story to myself. Her English wasn't too good anyway. Proceeded to bang the hell out of her..happy ending.
That escapade certainly wised me up, though, as to the protocols for what to do while waiting for a provider to get ready. Now, I absolutely hang in the mall parking lot whenever possible if wait time needs to be killed.
My take on it is that whoever is working in the KOP area right now, is benefiting from the lack of visiting providers.
Less competition, more money right?
Before the busts, KOP was one of the major tour spots for girls coming from all over.
The local indies & agencies had to face lots of fierce (and very good competitors).
With the busts, the visiting girls got scared and started to avoid the area.
Which was great for the locals, who continue to hold their incalls there and make sure to post under alias to warn people off, so they can contune to make their money without having to fight for it with tooth & nails.
Today, many areas all over the US are having more problems with LE and KOP is not worse than, example, Long Island NY, where guys are still hobbying and girls are still visiting regardless of warnings.
Is just a matter of keeping things discreet and low volume and be careful when booking the appointments.
I know I will be flamed on this, reason of my alias, but is the truth.

There are many towns on LI, some of which are not provider friendly, but in the case of KOP, the whole city has made a concerted and determined effort to keep prostitution out. They have made it a priority.
I vehemently disagree that KOP is no worse than anywhere else. It may be the most dangerous place to be a provider in the Northeast.
and hobby here. And I know a few "officials"...who hobby here.
KoP is a big area, at the center of several major highways & we have tons of hotels....which helps keep the room costs down.
They busted a couple of girls at the beginning of the summer. (one was from Fla.) Another girl was scared out of town, but she was working out of an apartment. In all cases, authorities had no other recourse. The girls brought it on themselves.
Stupid stuff, like working a hotel bar, taking appointments while smoking outside or screaming at a client will invite LE. (Also, get a separate room for entourage, driver or any other travel mates...Strange people standing around can give legit guests the heebeejeebees). Amazingly, some girls just don't get it.

According to one poster, the number of visitors is down but locals are still there so not sure who is included in "so many provs". Answer to the first is I don't know unless they just don't know.(visitors I assume - don't know if you include locals in "so many providers)
And to the second is - Never.
It's no rumor or scare tactic. 25 providers were arrested last year.
To both sides of the ticket, watch your ass and think. Guys, be a little less spontanious and use both heads. Law of average's says, if you do dumb shit you will get noticed and highten the chances of a negative outcome. Duhhh!
