I think that the problems on offense begin with the fact that the TE's are not good enough to control the hash area in the pass game and none are more than mediocre as run blockers. As a result, the WR's suffer because they get more safety help in coverage because of no real consistent threat from the TE's to keep them honest in the middle of the field. None of the WR's are consistent legitimate deep threats in the first place, the kind of guy like Randy Moss or a Cliff Branch from back in the day, who made DB's shake in their boots. This also gives the LB's different responsibilities taking away the short underneath passes. Throw in the QB missing a handful of open receivers every game, and receivers dropping a few potential big plays every week, and you have all the fixins' for a shambles. And then there is the defense. After all is said and done, the offense did produce a four-point lead with less than two minutes on the clock. The special teams gave Chiago possession on the 3. With no time-outs, Brian Griese (Brian Griese?) was allowed to do a 97-yard Roger Staubach-John Elway-Ken Stabler imitation that the originals would have been proud to call their own. I would go into play-calling, but this entry is already too long. The admin screwed this thing up real bad personnel-wise, I think. It may take a while to fix, too.
Here I was sitting in my living room happy as can be singing the EAGLES song.. went to the bathroom and came back and relized that was one pwerful flush.,, the whole game went with it!!!
McNabb is done, Andy Reid's system has no big time players other than BWest and the defense is no more. Gonna be a looong season. The Iggles of the past are back.
