So maybe I'll be a bit in the minority here, but I'll push forward anyway. First off, the guys who come here as paid members aren't just looking for links to risque pix; this isn't a porn surfing site. So take it for granted that the vast majority are looking for companionship of some sort.
Now we can go to Craig's Crappe or Eros or other such sites, and see all the advertising we want...for free even!!! But for most of us, that just doesn't cut it. How do we know the girls are real; will we get a rush job; will they perform to our level of fantasy fulfillment? Tons of questions, hence the demand/need for a site where we can get the opinions of other "hobbyists" (silly word!) as well as the experiences they are willing to share. Now we can make more informed decisions as to who we'd like to spend some time with and spend our hard earned dollars on. Simple so far.
My preferences: I see 10 pages of reviews, and there's something about that that turns me away. Maybe it's just the notion that the provider (another silly {but functional} term) is "doing" 5-6 guys a day. Don't get me wrong...she's entitled to make a living, and do so how she chooses. But speaking for me only, I like the idea of a lower volume, "pay attention to me when I'm with her" lady. So I think there really is such a thing as too many reviews, though I can't really put a number on it.
Finally, too few can also be bad, though again, in my own personal view, not as bad as too many. That really depends on the nature of the reviews themselves, as well as the reputation of the reviewer. Some here I really pay attention to...others I think are pretty much shills, so I ignore what they have to say. Anyway, for me 5 or so quality reviews is really good enough for me to proceed. And yes, I do know that everyone can have a bad day at work, so if there's 1 or 2 not so hot reviews, I'm ok with that too.
Long-winded...yes. But you asked, so I gave you my answer. Hope that helps.
I made a post a few threads back and there was a comment of how many reviews I had.
I think the comment raises excellent questions.
Is there a such thing as having too many reviews? How many reviews is considered enough? How many reviews should a lady have in order for you to feel secure in her reputation? Should a lady strive for a certain amount of reviews per month, or should she not concern herself with such matters?
If in fact, a lady has requested for you not to review her, would you respect her wishes?
If a lady has not had any reviews in a few months, would that deter you from seeing her, irrespective of her past reviews?
Furthermore, what are the hindrances of reviewing ladies? What are the positive aspects?
I'd love to hear your thoughts Philly...
If she says no reviews, then to me it means no reviews. If she seems a bit uncertain, I offer to show her a draft before submitting it by writing as a word document and e-mailing it to her. I do not know how many is too many or how few is too few, but I know it when I see it. Does that make sense? I generally discard the highest score and the lowest score and decide accordingly, like they do in Olympic figure skating (without the graft). I generally move on if I cannot get enough of a "feel" because there is not enough information about her or reviews, but I have been known to make an exception, as with Jenna Jewels of Philadelphia. Only one review by someone that had only written that one review. The pics were enough for me to take a chance, and it turned out great. However, reviews are often a deciding factor for me.
I definitely wouldn't bother with a review if she asked me not to and she was either on par or better. If she was sub-par for whatever reason, I might post anyway.
At first, I think a provider should try to recruit as many reviewers as possible. Once you've got like 10 reviews, a couple a month is more than enough to know she's still around and keeping up.
About 5 post down from yours is the perfect example. Flawless has a girl Jessica. Her reviews were good except for her last 3 concecutive reviews.
This made me think twice about seeing her. I thought about it and I decided to wait and see what her next few reviews are like. Did her attitude change or is it maybe a different girl altogether? Who knows. If it was one bad review it wouldn't have worried me but 3 made me think twice.
I also find it nice to save my favories and read new reviews. I like to see what others have to say after I've seen her or if I'm considering seeing her in the future.
I wouldn't be concerned with the number of reviews or necessarily how old they are unless they are over a year- I'm mostly looking for 4-10 reviews (or more) which are pretty consistent- also helps if one or more of the reviewers is a a known poster or has a decent number of reviews- a review from 1 hit wonders doesn't carry much wait
on another point I have been asked in the past not to review a particular lady and have respected the lady's request
First of all- When are you coming to Boston?
In my opinion I don't think there can be a situation of having too many reviews. But a provider should have at least 5 before I would feel really comfortable. (I've seen providers w/ fewer or no reviews so I'm just referring to my comfort level) With 5 or more I pretty much know what to expect. I would discount 1st time reviewers and I also dimiss the Hi/Low.
Once a provider gets a solid page of reviews I really don't think she needs to be concerned w/ the number or reviews. Just that they remain positive and continue to drip in w/ some consistancy(even 1/mo).
I think taking her eye off of the client and placing it on the review would be a mistake. I would rather get a sense that the woman enjoys my company as opposed to her focus being on hitting certain points in order to garner a certain type of review.

More reviews are generally a good thing, both for the hobbyist and the provider, imo. I like seeing a few recent reviews, enough to know that I'm not reading something written by a shill or some nutcase with a grudge. Older reviews are less important, but still tell you something about how reliably the provider performs. As to the provider, every new review has a chance to stir up new business; those who read reviews are also more likely to be repeat customers.
If someone asked me not to review her, I'd refrain, unless the experience was so notably bad that I felt it necessary to warn other hobbyists.
If a provider only recieved 3 reviews per month she would have 36 per year
in 3 years of providing that would be 108 reviews= to 10 pages of reviews.
seems like a lolt of reviews.... But its not
A low volume provider that only saw 1 client perday and worked only five days a week could see 20 clients a month and could easily get 3+ reviews per month.
Sure, and I didn't suggest that they did. I just pointed out that reviews can be a useful sales tool for the provider.
I actually liked your post and thought your comments were dead on target.

Ah, I see. Fair enough. ![]()

I check out the reviewer as much as the provider.
Some guys give high marks to everyone, while others are tougher graders.
If I see a review that matches my feelings about a provider (or more), I trust the quality of the reviewer.
My ATF told me that she's gotten reviews that she feels aren't real. (a flaw in the TER system)
Too me there is no right number of reviews, they are essential but can be very misleading. everyones opinion differs, some are shills, etc.
I use reviews as part of the filter. webpages are important also. Things like Craigslist is an automatic NO GO, I'm paying for a pro, act like one. I write an occasional review when I think its warranted, either very good or very bad.
I have no illusions that I am the first man for any of the ladies I have met.
Unless the service was poor or the provider engaged in risky behavior... I would see any woman that caught my fancy, five reviews or five thousand. (Hopefully not 5k all in one year... I would think she might fall asleep after the first few minutes...)
I don't have a hard and fast rule about to few... If the guy was someone who reviewed several women that I would want to see and gave a positive review... one would would work...
As far as respecting a request for no review... As long as the service wasnt really poor and I felt I needed to let the board know about it... YES.
The only reason I see as a hindrence is privacy. I may not want anyone to know that I hobby so I might stop or never review
