A question for the hobbyists: I am curious,
(1)how many of you would marry an ex-provider? why or why not?
And (2) if you would marry an ex-provider, how many of you would be comfortable with the ex-provider maintaining friendships with guys she used to provide for and comfortable with her keeping active on the hobby boards?
(3) Would you feel that she is obligated to tell you that she used to provide and/or still communicates with the hobbying community?

1) Sure, assuming that the relationship was solid and that the person was compatible.
2) I wouldn't be comfortable with that, any more than I'd be comfortable with a partner who stayed in regular contact with anyone they used to have sex with. I wouldn't expect to keep in regular contact with ex-girlfriends either.
In the end, people have to determine their own comfort zones and stick with them. Arguing that someone else's comfort zone is "irrational" is beating your head against a wall. It's also insulting; it assumes that you (the generic "you") know how someone's mind should work better than they do.
3) Pretty much. It's not an issue of ownership or any such crap; failing to let your partner know that you're maintaining relationships with ex-partners is likely to cause stress when it comes out. Better to be up front about it.
Your millage may vary and all that.

(3) Definitely would marry a provider. Would a provider want to be married to a dedicated hobbyist. Remember For the provider this is business. For us it is recreation. I wouldn't give up tennis. One minor caveat though, although I would marry a provider probably would not want to marry one with hundeds of reviews and seemed to live for them. It is one thing to
not mind and another to realize how neverending the stream was. A lot of the providers I know say they don't necessarily read the details.Just my humble opinion.

I certainly wasn't planning to analyze you. From the responses, it seems like most of the guys would marry an ex-provider, well, providing that there were some limits to her providing.
