Provider De-listed

Despite my several years of membership here on TER, this is a term I am unfamiliar with.  I recently submitted a review for a provider here in Philly, an overall very positive review, and was told that ther review was not approved because the provider was "de-listed".  What the hell does that mean?

I pulled this off another board.  This was written by a mod:

"When a provider is delisted, her TER profile is removed from the database.  This may occur at the provider's request (for a variety of legitimate legal or personal reasons, including retirement), or when a provider is banned for fraud, posting fake or self-reviews, or other rules violations.

When a provider has been delisted, her profile cannot be viewed, and states "That provider information is no longer available."  To protect their privacy, specific reasons for why a provider was delisted are not disclosed to the general public or TER members.

Delisted providers are not allowed to post anywhere on TER, nor is discussion of delisted providers allowed on TER discussion boards. New reviews of delisted providers are not approved.

Providers who were delisted at their request (and not for fraud or other violations) may request to be relisted on TER."

Why...worried it was someone you were shilling for?

Unless you mean shillings ?  Why are you holding some sorta of grude against me ?

They can be delisted because of a difference of opinions with the moderator, and it becomes retribution. This is not something that you are very likely to hear a mod admit to, but it does happen. And it has happened to a very highly-regarded provider.  And, no, I'm not saying who, but those guys know it happens.  Note to Thirsty -it did not involve you, so please do not take offense.
