Never in my life have I imagined that phrase would be something I'd be happy to shout aloud on a sexual discussion website. But in this case, I'm overjoyed at making that declaration!!! The Phillies are now just one win away from being World Series Champions!

Great game tonight for all of us long-suffering die-hard Phillies fans. I knew it was just a matter of time before the dam burst and the runs came pouring as abundantly as the gaggy overpriced beer they sell at the park. This team is too much of an offensive juggernaut to be held to low scoring games for more than a week or so -- especially in their own ballpark. Ryan Howard is certifiably on fire. Anyone with any baseball knowledge had to figure that it was simply the law of averages before the big guy started boppin' homers.

Hell, even Joe Blanton closed his eyes and swung hard and knocked one out! By the way, just a mere mention here of yet another strong pitching performance from the most underrated pitcher in the post-season. All this guy does is win games or at the very least, keep his team in the game long enough to win, hmm? I think it's way past high time that the national media know-it-alls gave this guy his due respect and recognized how he is easily one of the best #4 pitchers in a team's rotation. Way to go, Joe!

So here we are, perched upon the precipice of championship with our best pitcher ready to go out and seal the deal tomorrow night. I've been waiting 28 years for this franchise's 2nd ever world championship. It's finally our time. The wait is nearly over.

LET'S GO PHILLIES!!!!!!!!!!

You know, I was all set to watch the Simpsons tonight and I turn on the tv and I see *baseball*.  It was clear no Simpsons for me and I was not happy about that.  lol

But now I see how much joy that game brought you and I'm glad.  I'll see the Simpsons (for the zillionth time) next week.  (I will, right?  No more baseball???) So, no harm, no foul. (See!  I know sports!  lolololol)

And who was it that said it was going to be this way?  Oh, that was me.  A friend of mine predicted a Tampa sweep in a local newspaper, and I have been busting his chops ever since.  I told him that my karma is just too strong this year - too many GREAT things happening that stats and probabilities would say could not or should not happen.  Cole Hamels and the guys in the red pinstripes will end it tonight!!!

There's a song (video attached) that is appropriate for what will happen at Citizens Bank Park this evening.  For those unfamiliar with it or have forgotten the lyrics, read on:

Overture, curtain, lights.
This is it - the night of nights.
No more rehearsing or nursing a part;
we know every part by heart!

Overture, curtain, lights.
This is it - we'll hit the heights.
And oh what heights we'll hit -
on with the show, this is it!

Tonight what heights we'll hit;
on with the show this is it!!!

Lana, no more baseball until late next March after about 1130 tonight; the Phillies will most certainly end it with the ace of aces on the hill - Hamels through 7, Madson in the 8th, Lidge in the 9th.

...this thing isn't over just yet.  Has anyone actually witnessed a BBW singing?  Not me but man am I anxious, scared, excited...Could it be?  I was 9 years old in 1980 and don't remember a damn thing...I just don't want to get too ahead of ourselves.

Let's go Cole!

No pun intended, but you can (Citizens) bank on it.  Cole Hamels will be the World Series MVP after having been the NLCS MVP, the big man's gonna go deep again, and we are going to a parade tomorrow!!!

...And we all got Phillies Fever!!!
