Anyone ever been turned down on screening? Isabella's wouldn't take me!

This is a first for me. I have a freelance business and have ben doing it for years, 15 years...yet I do not need a business license due to the nature of the business. I have a business card but Isabella's would not accept me because of this. I was just wondering if anyone else ever experienced this. The girl who answered was very sweet and profesional about it.

Why even bother with this type of screening. It is too easy to set up a fake business with license and yellow page listing, business cards, letterheads, etc. etc.

The people that do this type of screening are using a false sense of security to supposedly ensure the safety of themselves.

I too am a freelance as you put it. Whenever I see this type of screening I pass and find someone that uses a more realistic and safe screening process, such as another providers reference.
