I just finished watching this poor bastard on tv who was caught up in this madame thing in DC. I'm sure she told all her clients she won't keep records or phone numbers but when shes looking at time behind bars she turned in a heart beat.
I understand the need for the Ladies safty but I have a private life to think about also. I'm not sure what the solution is.

I could not agree more. This business is what it is, and there is a certain amount of risk being taken on both sides of the transaction. We don't ask for personal info about providers for our "protection". It comes down to economics, supply and demand. If the consumer feels the price of the product is too high (private info is a high price), he should look elsewhere. I also read about the guy from DC, and there but for the grace of god go I. I will be very cautious with my info from now on. Any hobbyist who really believes that the provider does not save his info is kidding himself. Why would she get rid of the only card she may have to play when the shit hits the fan?
A local agency was busted a few years back. The owner walked, as a result of his list of names which contained many prominent people. Had the LE called his bluff many of us would have been ruined.
it is time to re-think some of the protocols.... for our "protection".

Wendy Vitter, the senator's wife, made fun of Hillary during Bill's impeachment, telling the New Orleans papers that if she had a cheating spouse, she'd be "a lot more like Lorena Bobbitt than Hillary . If David does something like that, I'm walking away with one thing, and it's not alimony, trust me." (Maybe that's why Vitter disappeared for a week; he was seeing John Wayne Bobbitt's doctor?) But today we got the calm, forgiving, Christian wife -- "I'm proud to be Wendy Vitter," she declared.

What a hypocrite, praise the Lord.

What got me was that the 'incidents' happen sometime in the 1990's.

This agency was so meticulous about keeping records, that they were able to easily delve into their archives and produce this damaging information. I'm sure they'd assured their clients this info was destroyed after the client had been screened. Oops!
I'll stick with independents, and agencies that are'nt too intrusive.
I recently looked into RS2000,would you believe they ask for your home phone #. Just another example of over zealous screening. No thanks.

There is no statute of limitations when it comes to embarassing someone, especially in politics.

It's rare that I give out any personal info.  When I do, it's only one piece of info, like my work number or similar.  Hey, that's in the phone book, right?

There is a solution. I've been doing it for twenty years (without any problems)!  I will provide more info in my next post.
