My mom was from New England and she told me the same thing about only saying nice things about others, but this is a discussion board and you asked for opinions. You also used some pretty assertive and self-assured copy in your post, such as, "I truly feel that I am the finest choice to please, even for the fussiest palette." Now that may be true, and you may be the next best thing since sliced bread, but it seems to me that it is well within the scope and purpose of this board for someone to respond to your inquiry with some skepticism. Now you did everyone a service by apparently debunking the notion that you are a CBJ girl (but you really didn't deny it either), but the rest of your response seems a tad standoffish, maybe even petulant. As they would say on the sports boards, you seem to have a set of "rabbit ears" and pay too much heed to what others think. Just play the game.
Now, one of the mods has recently chastised the community for poor manners to visiting ladies. Transgressions such as NCNS and haggling over $$$ should not be condoned. But when it becomes a transgression to react a lady's posting with minimal enthusiam, then the boards are nothing more than an assemblage of cheerleaders and self-promoters, and that is not a good thing.
