We are looking for 'can't miss' restaurant and activity suggestions in the downtown area for late June.

Any suggestions from locals or regulars to Philly would be greatly appreciated.

I offered public recommendations some jackwagon crapped all over them. So check out their reviews and form your own opinion. Also if you have the Open Table app, use it! If not, get it. You’ll need reservations at a lot of the small street side places.

Some of the restaurants i really enjoy include:

1) Midtown Continental
2) Sampan
3) El Vez
4) Tequilas

But there are tons of great places to choose from.

For the tourist experience, go to Reading Terminal Market and check out the Amish vendors. Beilers donuts, Danish Eating Place, and more.  Di Nicks is a local sandwich vendor there that a lot of the locals I know, rave about.

It's wicked crowded but I  love people watching 🤗

There are three great art museums within walking distance of each other.
The Barnes has a wonderful impressionist collection and right now is featuring "Renoir father and son".
The Rodin is close and and so the Philadelphia Museum of Art which is now featuring modern American painting from 1910 to 1950 and an amusing exhibit of biting British political and other commentary cartoons.
"Love" is a new good restaurant, a bit pricey but excellent. The chicken is very good.  A great  Jewish Deli, great for brunch if that's your taste is the Famous on 4th street a block south of south street. The sandwiches are enormous the chopped liver and smoked fish are great as is the Chicken soup.  La Croix is an oldie but goodie.  There is a good Dim Sum at the Ocean City Restarant in China Town. They also do a good lobster with ginger

Hope this helps.
