I am in the process of writing a book telling the story of the cancer experience that I have had this year.  I have a writer (it's a pretty big name in this area - I feel this story needs a professional to write it) lined up but I am now beginning my search for a publisher.  Anyone have any suggestions or connections in the publishing world?

Go to your local bookstore and pick up a writer's magazine.  In them they have publishers and suggestions for how to catch a publisher's eye.

That is a GREAT suggestion Holly. That is how I promoted my brother’s book. We contacted everyone in the catalog in the Philadelphia Library's catalog and now his book is being sold in Barns and Noble and Boarders.
