In my 7yrs of providing, I have never experienced so many cancellations in one week as I have for the past couple weeks! Here I sit, all dolled up /d nobody to play with......sigh....If you are in the Quakertown area, call me 267-347-0854Let's Play!!

But it will be about a week till my schedule clears and I will ring your number.  No fear of cancellation or NCNS here, just sucks to be guilty by association in the Philly area.

this happened to me on my last visit and why I haven't been back....I'll try again if I get some good responses

But I do have to say last time I took off and spent over 24hours in Atlantic City and won a bundle....so I can't say the trip uas all that bad.

I love love Philly & hope to keep cuming back if you'll allow me to!

Know what you are feeling today has been horrible for us as well here. All kinds of cancellations today alone. HMMMMMM Can you say something smells fishy?

My observation is that all the complaints of cancellation and NCNS came from indys or patrons of indys.  I have never heard of complaints toward or from agencies.

If indy patrons jerk off just before the appointment, or change their mind, they just cancel or won't show up with no repercussion.  If they do it to agencies, they will be blacklist for future appointmens.

If indys don't get enough booking, it makes economic sense to just cancel the appointments or don't show up.  All my NS experience except once was with indys.

Another reason for NCNS or cancellation is provider competition.  Some unethetical providers or agencies would make phoney appointments with providers to waste their time. I am not sure how widespread it is in Philly, but it could be the cause of Philly's bad reputation.

I for one have had a huge percentage of provider cancellations recently... Way higher than normal

Terri you are always welcome here, of that there is no question. But I do want to ask you a serious question - not trying to be a smart ass...but, good responses don't necessarily translate to made and/or kept appointments as I'm sure you've experienced - so why take the chance of coming back here (other than going to Atlantic City, lol) if it is that chancy and the reputation is repeatedly brought into focus on the board by some (not referring to you; rather, some others).

to DC, NY and Boston also. I do love the Brotherly Love city and have met some wonderful gents....It really only happened on my last trip it was like one after another cancelled and after making the train ride getting a hotel just to find everyone cancelled was very disappointing but rather than be board in a lonely room I went to AC............everyone deserves a second chance & I'm sure all was legitimate....I love you guys that's why I'm cuming back.

No offence taken with your post, sweetie!!!!!

I'm looking forward to cuming back!

Thanks Terri and I hope you have a great trip here as well as the other cities.

Would love to see you if you come back.

To sum it up:

This is hardly news
It's the economy stupid
What goes around...
sucks to be guilty by association in the Philly area
Yes Philly is very well known for that....
today has been horrible for us as well here

Truth ??  Well, I looked at this and realized that she said CANCELLATIONS!  NOT NCNS.  Different issue.  If the gents called and just could not make it… well that is one issue.  There are days that just do not work out… heck, my entire July did not go as planned… I had intended to take a special young lady out for her birthday in July – I just never had the time…   I feel horrible about that, and intend to make that up to her at a later point in time.  But for now, it truly was a scheduling problem.  I had planned to celebrate my birthday with the lovely ms. Lockheart…. Again scheduling… and even though ms. Lockheart was willing to bend over backwards, I just could not pull it off… happens… and finally, there is one visiting escort that for the past 3 times she has been in town, I have not, or I have had other obligations… hey… it happens.  So please, do not be feeling bad – IF they called.

Now on to the NC NS – I’ve met several of my fellow hobbyists…. And for the most part, they are a pretty nice bunch of guys, I’ve also met a lot of the gals in the city who escort – both behind closed doors, and without the “upclose and personal” encounter.  All I would be more than happy to call “friend”!  So I am always floored when I hear reports of NCNS… on EITHER side of the envelop.  I gotta think that I am meeting a very small subset of people who hobby – or they are two faced.   I have to think it is a small subset because of the sincerity that others express – on this board and in person.

I choose to make Philly my home…  it is a great place to live -  it offers culture, professional sports, college sports, great natural beauty, nice restaurants, and an incredible wealth of historical sites.  The people are all genuine – what you see – is oft what you get.  Remember – I was not born here, I choose to be here… and love it.  But I have to say, our reputation with the traveling ladies is not good.  There is one pornstar – I would love to see again – she just will not return.  Our reputation as a group of gents in Philly spoiled, to a minor extent, my evening with her….  Even though I did actually have a great time with her.

I realize that this is going to the vast majority who DO respect others enough to either show up – or call and cancel with adequate time to permit rescheduling of another appointment.  I also recognize that this has been a topic for the 5 years or so that I’ve been a member of TER.  What else do we as a group have to do to change those who do not agree with this position…?  I fear that there is nothing that we can do, except to point out that this type of behavior hurts the hobby, as a whole, in our town…

BSD asks for all to be considerate of others.  That is a simple and humble request.

A cancellation is the same 100% net loss to a provider as a NCNS -especially if the cancellation is last minute, or an hour or 2 before the appointment. The provider is not any happier because a guy calls and say's, "sorry Babe I can't make it my car broke down", or "something came up", or "My dog ate my wallet". There's no excuse for a last minute cancellation other than an outright emergency. The fact that Jade had multiple cancellations leads me to think that "the dog did NOT eat everyone's wallet". I'm sorry to hear it happened.

sometimes bad things come all at once... and I would rather someone call me - and tell me that a bad thing is coming my way - that to just sit and be hit in the head by an ugly surprise.

I have had to cancel because of STUPID things that I've done... I called the young lady - (I lost, actually misplaced, my keys). I explained it to the lady - and she was soooo understanding that the memory of that stands out.  her name?  Macy M.    a class act.

Oh, we did meet up later on.  and it was all I expected!

What I hear from visiting ladies is more the NCNS... you see - some of them have "stand-by" lists... and if they get a call a couple of hours ahead of time - they can call their "stand-by's" and fill in the time.  But if they do not get a call - they can't.

so, In fact, dogs do eat wallets...  and yes I hate it when providers cancel on me (and it does happen)!!! BUT know what - if they call - we can work it out... if they don't call.... it is simple - we can't.

Sorry - there is a big difference in my mind.

Most ladies do NOT double book, or have "standbys". (That's a pretty sleazy practice). A call canceling 2-3 hours before an appointment is the same as a NCNS in the  gals' pocketbook !

So you're saying I shouldn't bother to call if I need to cancel if my work calls and I HAVE to go in on my day off???  (Which has happened to me TWICE in the last two weeks, BTW.)  And if any lady complains, I'll just say Fuzzy said it was OK, since a loss is a loss...

BULLSHIT!

There, I said it...  That is a piss-poor attitude, mister, and THAT is what perpetuates the bad reputation.  I guess common courtesy is like common sense these days -- not so common anymore...

&

Calling 2-3 hours before your appt. to cancel is NOT NCNS!

I said the NET $$$ loss to the provider is the same for a NCNS, as is a CANCELLATION 2 hours before the appointment. The lady loses either way, and is unhappy either way. I'm NOT suggesting being discourteous, or not calling in an emergency. The problem is as Jade said "Too many cancellations"! They can't possibly ALL be absolute last minute emergencies. :-(

I agree that a phone call to cancel is not the same as a NCNS because we often have multiple people requesting the same time slot and we can sometimes easily call someone else who is happy to fill the slot and it works out for everybody. xoxo

I can see that someone as cute as you would not have a problem finding someone to fill the slot.

Thank you

Like someone else said there is a difference between Cancellations and NCNS

Cancellations is when the guy DOES eventually call to say that they can not make it in. Sometimes they call 4 to 5 hours in advance which is great because then we can fill that spot up! But when a guy waits until 1-2 hours before it is hard to fill it up, but it is still possible.

NCNS is when they do not bother to call or show. Which in turn does get fishy. I look at it this way. If you want the lady to treat you right then at least have a common sense to call us and let us know. If not you get a strike. Because we can not replace it at that point in time.

This is all crucial to low key people who only have a couple of dates a day.

The repeated NCNS are the only ones I will double book if it is a regular I know that will come through. But after two NCNS you are banned from us.

I hate when a lady calls 20 minutes before a scheduled appt to cancel - and you just drove an hour to get  to her area.  Plus you had to juggle 10,000 things to get the afternoon off and absolutely just screwed yourself for another afternoon off.  And she is all short and sweet on the phone - yup, sorry, bye.

GRRRRRRR.... can you tell this pisses me off?????

Not your service of course, or any lady I have chosen to leave a review for.

Sorry - just in the mood to vent and really wanted to point out it is a two way street but everyone already knows that so I will shut up and crawl back under my rock.

Not going to happen.  Won't hit 100. Going to flip to page 2 any minute now. LOL.

Unless of course someone just keeps clicking on it to get it to 100.

I loved every minute of it.  No, really I did.  Ain't nothing like being in a strange city with a wad of cash and no back up plan. I spent the afternoon at the park getting harassed by ducks (I think they were laughing at me).

Learned my lesson - always have a plan B (and C,D,E,F,G.... you get the idea).

I had to cancel recently however I gave the provider 6 days notice.  I think a last minute ( an hour of two) cancellation is a little suspect, a 48 hours or more is just real life and business.
