Now there is a limit, I too would be frustrated with a provider who "didn't know when to shut up" as you put it.
Maybe it's me, but I am consistently meeting providers who simply don't know when to shut up.
Trust me. I am cordial, friendly, outgoing, compasionate and the whole nine yards.
However, when we are on the clock (or under some time constraints), there really isn't time for a provider to tell me her whole life story with this year's problems and challenges presented with great detail.
I generally just get massage. When I meet someone for the first time, we can't help but talk for 15 minutes or so. However, for the second half of my back massage and my entire front massage ... we really should be focussing on relaxation and sensuality -- not your dog or your schedule or your latest stalker.
To each his own, but I like getting to know the lady and the only way to do that is to talk. It puts the "E" in GFE and helps you connect on more than just a physical level. To me it just adds to the overall experience. I get your point though... there's a time to talk and a time not to!
It depends on what you're looking for. If you find that a provider talks too much for your tastes, then don't go back. Since you generally just get massage, I'm not sure who to suggest. Hopefully other board members with similar interests can help you out.
