I agree ladies. Philadelphia is a hot city and with the up coming election probably going to get hotter. I would never take the risk of seeing someone that has not completed my screening form. Its nice to have a lady reference as a back up, however I would never see someone with that alone. I don;t even know the lady and why would I believe something they said? Date check or other sites like that are the same. They are nice, but you never know who is on them.
Everyone should be safe guys and girls out here. So if you want to be safe and know that you are dealing with a real safe and credible person both ways do it the old fashioned way. Get the right screening information. If the guy is for real then he won't mind giving it to you if he knows that you are safe with his information. Anna
I posted an eros ad a couple of weeks before coming out her from California ........very last minute and made appointments. Then I had a couple of these appointments asking me to reference them. One being a big appt. kept insisting. I may appear new to this market but I have been in this business for some time. There is no way on earth that i can provide a reference for someone that i have never met.........and, this other one was great (a guy who walked out on me)....I understand if I am not your type, but, all that I can tell the next girl is just what happened and that you used a different name and phone number.
Guys (or other elements??) will do anything here to get a reference which tells me that it is a risky city.....I know what that is like from a few yrs in Orange County, Calif.......I would caution anyone that takes a reference here where someone is using a new girl (or, in my case what they believed to be a new girl in the industry). Any, other girl that did not know better would try to save that BS guy who promised the big overnight/overpaid date........and, because he called all of the time....she would think that she knew him. Or the guy that walks out on you (and, was even so sweet to tip you).....but, the next day is using you as a reference......A reference for what??
Hobbiest, for what it is worth.........I watched OC play both sides. Im not sure if that happens here? I merely caution that this game can be played both ways. So protect yourselves as well.

I have been doing this for a while and still feel very uncomfortable with the whole reference thing. It is kind of like reviews, only worse. I much prefer using a site like date-check. I don't like giving out phone numbers and contact info of women I have seen. Not that I worry about what they will say, but more that it is a hassle for them and you don't know how or when th contact will happen. it is awkward to use someone as a reference and then think they must be wondering why they aren't seeing me and instead want to see someone else. I would never expect another business to vouch for me so that I can go somewhere else. I don't know...that's just my take on it. And, maybe why a guy would want use an out of town reference to avoid the feeling of betrayal or conflict. Although, using someone you haven't seen yet or walked out on is ridiculous.
........as my only means of verifying a gentleman, I happily give them. I have never been asked BEFORE a date to reference someone. That is just odd.
After our gentleman friend and I have completed our date, I always tell them that "while I truly did enjoy our time together, if you would like to visit with another lady in the future, please feel free to list me as a reference". I also tell them to have the lady contact me by e-mail. I then assure him, that I will only give a yes, or no; never details such as how many hours/days we shared, gifts, tips, etc.
