While in Philadelphia I noticed a lot of discussion about unreliable ads.  I realize these exist everywhere, but I wonder what the proportion of them in Philadelphia is.  I am now based in Los Angeles.  The fake stuff is definitely widespread here, however, we have a lot of gorgeous and GENUINE providers, too :)

I'm very grateful to know a wonderful photographer who is very professional, and makes possible my constant photo updates!

I'll be curious to see what lovely new faces are advertising in Philadelphia during my next visit...

Seems like fake providers ads have all but taken over Eros-Phlly...
Do they check up their advertisers at all?

"EROS Verified Photo"s?

Now its "No Fake Photos Refused"!

In many ways its no better than BackPage, at least from the consumer's side. And from the scammer's side, if you have to pay the ad fees, and you're going to tell a fib, you might as well make it a whopper. Miss Universe contestants, porn stars, Playboy playmates, actresses... pictures all stolen.

And if you try to complain or point out stolen pictures under their DMCA policy (see the fine print at the bottom of the Eros page), they basically do nothing, unless you can prove you are the copyright owner.  I.e, if I point out someone is using Marie Osmond's picture in a fake Eros ad, they won't do anything...unless Marie complains directly that her pictures were stolen.

Oh well, its all cash flow.  No concern for quality/accuracy. That's why you always need to do your own due diligence.

Cheers,

Miss Marple

I havent used EROS in 6 or 7 years.

Since I am an advertiser on Eros. I do know you have to submit an ID to prove you are over 18, if they check it against the photos in the ad I have no idea. I kinda doubt it. Isn't that what reviews are for anyways? I do know if a provider is causing problems IE robbing people etc Eros will remove the ad.
