How is almost April? This month just seemed to fly by...or is that just me?
After a lot of traveling I’m excited to be back in Philly this week and catch up with friends. I got lucky and missed all the snow (sorry guys) so I’m double crossing my fingers that it’s only going to get warmer from here on. Who else is sick of winter coats? I know I’m ready to take mine to get cleaned and forget about it until the fall. Fingers crossed for a sunny week.
There is so much amazing culture in Philly that I feel like many of us who live in the area tend to miss. I think now is the time to go check out the local sites before the weather brings the mass of tourists who always descend on the city, or more specifically Old City.
One place I haven’t been to in a while and I’m feeling the itch to go is the Penn Archeological Museum. I feel like it’s one of Philly’s hidden gems. I also STILL need to go to the Barnes so I would love to take a tour there while I’m in town. I can’t think of a more perfect afternoon, surrounded by art, without the crowds that the weekends always seem to bring.
I’m also in the mood to explore some new restaurants. I find myself going to the same ones...I’m a creature of habit I guess. After being in North Carolina and enjoying so much rich food (I went to my first Waffle House y’all and I documented it on my twitter too) I’m ready for some sushi or other sorts of lighter fare.
It’s funny now that I find myself hardly ever in Philly these days, I feel like a tourist again. I promise not to ask where the best cheesesteak can be found.
Would love to know what everyone is up to this week.
Let’s hope there are some gorgeous ladies around this week to enjoy Philly with!

Xo,

Jessica
