Rumor is Eliot Spitzer spent over $80K on his hobbying, but at $3K average a pop, that's not too impressive.  Our esteemed Chris has 136 reviews under his belt and I'm guessing he's had at least 2 additional encounters for every one review.  That's a minimum of 408 encounters.  At $3K an encounter Chris would be in for over $1.25 Million!.  We're not worthy we're not worthy.

I only spend about a 1K per month on the hobby(on average)

So even during the last 5 years I have only spent around 60K....


No where close to a million.....

I have had a lot of fun for that 60K....My peers have bought 100k boats , Corvettes, Country Club memberships....etc

Hey guy, for whatever it's worth, your above lines struck a really responsive chord here.  Truthfully, I've often wondered how "real" you were.  Had questions in my own mind as to the legitimatcy of your reviews, your "relationships" with some of the ladies, etc.  As an aside, though, I do recall the lovely ex-provider Macy once PM'ing to back off...that you were indeed the real deal.

Anyways, I think you really do have the right outlook here.  The memories of sharing some time with some really neat women...even if it is paid time...far outlast some of the other material things we may have bought for ourselves over the years.  And hell, the sex ain't bad either!

To each his own, I suppose, but really well said, Chris.  You put into words what lots of us here feel about this "hobby."

After my wife left I saw plenty of therapists, who charged a bit less than providers, but delivered nothing in return.  My first encounter did more for me than 6 months of counceling.

I could have bought a big-ass boat last year with my hobby related expenses and I know guys who've gone in that direction.

For me, hobbying is the best therapy money can buy and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I feel bad for the NY gov. But that's the price of fame.

I have never doubted that you were real Chris, you have saved me far too much money for that. I have wondered how much you have spent hobbying. I know I have to tell myself to back off from time to time. It is like a drug, once you start seeing the providers it is hard to not do it every day.

I have always wondered how much you have spent, and if you can afford a grand every month I agree it is better than a material item such as a car or boat that depreciates in value.

It would be a big deal if I was married or if I had kids. The fact is I am a single guy earning a six figure income.

I might hobby a little less this year since I am supporting my parents a little more(fathers been sick) For the most part the "hobby" is just that a hobby. It's entertainment.I really don't spend that much on the hobby considering. My average Morton's bill is about $500 per month I love my "Double Fillet Oskar"  I easily spend over 1k per month on dinning out. WTF I am single and I don't like to cook...lol

There are guys out there making a helluva lot more than I do but I don't have a lot of overhead. I haven't bought a $750k home with a 5k mortgage. Uncle Sam paid for my education via the G.I bill and 5years with  United States Air Force.  I don't have college bills hanging over my head.  My monthly nut is less than 4K per month. That leaves 3k for investing and 3k for play.

I am sure most of the guys here are married with fammilies......  If I was married with kids I am sure things would be completely diffrent.

per encounter.  If he paid $$$ to $$$$ per encounter, he would have paid by cash and left no money trail.  It's not easy to carry $K to $KK cash around, so he had to launder money to pay for the service that led to IRS suspicion.

My hobbying budget is about 6K a year, which is modest in comparison to the 35K college bill I spent each year for each of my two children.  The good news is that I have one more year of college committment and it's done.  

I am spending 10k a year for family vacation.  So I am a great family man with a double life just like Spitzer, except he got caught and I don't yet. I only pay cash and can't afford $3K escort.
