How about non-'gift' gifts?

There has been much discussion here about tipping...i used to bring a gift, perfume, etc. to my atf for her birthday & I've had the pleasure of taking a few providers out to lunch or dinner, after appointments but that's the extent of my tipping.  I'm not sure why I don't generally tip, hell I always tip the damn drive-up people at dunkin donuts?!?!?
