It effects both provider and client differently...I can't speek about how it effects the ladies but for me personally this is what I have to deal with...

Since I live outside the city limits and since most providers work in center city my drive time is approximately 1.5 hours one way, I usually only book an hour, sometimes two if its with a lady I’ve seen before.  Therefore the total time spent without delays is somewhere between 4-5 hours.  

I try to stay in touch with the provider or agency through out the day if possible just to make sure everything is on schedule but that’s not always a sure thing either.  Most agencies and providers ask that you call an hour before your appointment to confirm.  Since I need an hour and a half to get the hotel, I'm allready on the road for a half hour before I make the call.  

Now this is where it can get dicey; so I make the call and a couple of things can happen; first  “everything’s on schedule” call when you get to the hotel…cool! Most of the time that’s a good sign, but what if; you get voice mail, and sometimes nothing at all, maybe the phone is off, or the mailbox is full…now what? Continue, hoping that they’ll return you call, turn around and go home, turn to plan “B” if you have a plan “B”.  On more that one occasion I’ve not gotten through or received a call back until 15-30 minutes before my scheduled appointment and everything was fine, so again WTF do I do?

I’ve already laid the ground work with phony excuses to get out of work early or to get home from work late so any deviation from the original plan now requires more lies and excuses.  

If I calculate what my time is worth then we have; 4-hours @ $50.00/hr = $200.00, travel expense (government allowance is 0.50 cents/mile) 70 miles @ 0.50/mile = $35.00, tolls = $3.00, parking $10-20.

My total cost is about $250.00 and I haven’t even gotten laid yet!  Add $300-350 to that for 1 hour and were up to $550-600 dollars. Not including tip.

This is an expensive hobby for a few hours of enjoyment which I have no problems with, but I absolutely hate cancellations, no calls, no shows…it fucks up my day and basically prevents me from hobbying again for a least a couple of weeks.  I may only be able to hobby once or at the most twice a month, so I can’t always reschedule, most of the time its lost opportunity, time and money.
