Keep focused guys.  Alot of unreviewed ladies last week, rates sneaking up.  A premium for what???  The fact they didn't go on vacation?

Providers can set any rate they want.  I set my own rate.  If the asking rate is outside my range, I don't bother to call even if she is hot.  There is no reason to pay above $250 as this is the prevailing rate for top notch ladies in our neighbors Baltimore, DC and mid Jersey.  Don't let your impulse drives you to call.  Wait for the right lady with the right rate to come to our town.

I feel you're actually saying two different things here.  Ladies with very good reviews should be able to fetch higher fees.  Problem is with the number of either non-reviewed ladies OR those with consistent 6's and 7's asking for $300+

I just took a family of 4 for a full day on the ski slopes for less than many of these ladies charge for an hour of service.  One hour with 'quality' as you mentioned is OK, but when those fees head toward being the minumum standard -  problem.

Not sure I understand-  a quick check on TER says you're at $250 and you have pages of 8's thru 10's.  Stellar reviews at a reasonable price?  Sign me up!  It's the continued rise to $300+ for relative unknowns that's concerning.  Not sure if Philly is the same as other cities, but we sure have our share of scams around here, hence the caution.  It's not personal by any means

Mostly for BigDaddy:  Feel free to throw the big ones away.  Last time I looked, $$$ was still a good chunk.  That's reserved for ladies with reviews.

Everytime somebody mentions prices, they take it the wrong way.  It's the UNREVIEWED providers I'm complaining about with the higher prices.  Someone like you with the reviews to back you up is obviously not the person I am complaining about.  Nobody is declaring war on the established reliable ladies.  In fact, please --- do visit.  The locals situation, with a very few exceptions, leaves alot to be desired.  In my opinion, a high-end provider like you is always welcome here.  B/C me, I think you forgot one of your client's (from last January in Hotlanta) handle.  [email protected]

Hey, you are DC based which is flooded with providers.  Going back to your 100s of threads and reviews in the DC board, you've seen only cheap providers. $$1/2 is the standard rate in DC which is cheap in Philly standard.

I don't think anyone here is complaining about the established provider with great reviews. It is all the non reviewed  and most likely B&S girls  that keep coming to our fair city and are asking $$$+ That Nick is complaining about. $$$ isn't cheap but it is the going rate for a good and well reviewed provider. Just continue to do your homework and you will find great providers. Think with the big head and dont listen to the little one.

BTW ... BDJ and Cigi both have girls here this week they both are well reviewed. Lets treat them right so they can continue sending  their ladies to us.

I have to agree that 300+ is high especially for an un-reviewed lady but that is the going rate.  I have grown to except that a $300 incall date with a nice lady is the best you will do these days.  Travelling ladies charging more or local ladies charging that plus a room simply don't get my business...but there must be plenty of guys paying it or the rates would quickly drop.  I do pay more on occasion but rarely see the lady more then once when their rates go above 300.  While I may choose not to see them I certainly cannot blame the ladies for charging every bit as much as the market will allow.

With respect to other cities and Philly being considered cheap!  Washington DC - last time I looked they are between $$ and $$$.  less than philly.   NYC - $$$1/2  Houston?  Escorts are cheaper than the lapdances in Houston - so go figure -

We in philly have, in my opinion, an unfair rep.  What can we do to spread the word that we are actually stand-up guys?  tired of the rap that we take....  Simple truth is we have a lot of B&S types both visiting and "home grown" - do they provide the unfair view?  Because most of us won't bow to their unfair practices - something to think about.

Actually, the rate in Philly has dropped a bit from a year ago.   $$1/2 providers are still available in our town from time to time, but book early because they get all the calls and booked up quickly.

You call us cheap first when you're not even from our area.  An average Philly guy probably spends more per session than an average guy from DC or Boston simply because we rely more on visiting than locals.  Visiting have to charge higer rate because they have to pay for hotel and travel. Booking visiting requires a lot more home work than just pick up a phone to call a reputable local.  Unfortunately, our local choices are limited, over priced, substandard or known for B&S.  Your DC area is flooded with providers with abundant choices in all price ranges, so every John gets what he wants and no one complaints.  I happen to know your market well because I hobby there often on biz trips.

Why are you harping on D.C rates?? I think I know D.C pretty well. Once again I don't see a lot of the local ladies in D.C. I don't drive to work so my hobby time is during the day. I metro over to D.C to play. I pay just as much as you guys do. So quit whining about "abundant choices in all price ranges" in D.C.

No one is whining.  Tigerguy us stating the fact which I agree. It's easy for you to make cheap shot in a market you know absolutely nothing.  You're from the nation's capital with the highest escort supply per capita, so choice is never an issue.

Sorry to bring you the bad news, but I for one will not back off my claim that the locals scene in Philly is substandard.  Why do so many reputable travellers like to come here??  The number of good reliable locals is rather small.  Who are they?  How big of a board fight do you want to see?

I hate to respond to this because I will be accused for whining.  But I like to state the facts based on my hobbying experience in Philly and other cities I visited.  

B&S - Yes, Isabella of Philly and Magical Encounter are known local B&S agencies and they even export scam to our neighbors. To be fair, we have a good share of visiting B&S.
Substandard - to be fair, we have high quality local providers, but they tend to be pricy.  For the reasonably priced providers, few are up to my standard.  You pay for what you get.
Over priced - Yes, from the client point of view, certainly providers will disagree.  The current going rate of locals in Philly is 1/2$ to $ higher than in mid Jersey, Boston, Baltimore and DC but about even with NY.  Visiting rates vary from time to time but tend to moderate the local rate because many came from our lower rate neighbors.  This is why visiting are stealing clients from locals.  Why do I have to support buying locals if the locals give us bad deal.

No one is asking you to back off of your claim.  I can only comment on my own practices.  I cannot answer the question about why so many girls who tour visit here either except that they travel to more places than Philly as well.
Board fight? Not my gig -- I'm all grown up. I just found it curious and a bit sad to read the "blanket" generalizations regarding Philly providers.

They'll just raise our taxes to help offset the higher rates.

Providers can't raise rate at will or else all will be charging $$$$.  If DC rates go up, so will Philly because many providers from DC tour Philly regularly.  For selfish reason, I don't want to see rates in DC to go up because I hobbied in DC as much as in Phill.
