This is a few lines from an old Byrds song.  (I know you're probably sitting there saying who the h**l are the Byrds?  The fact that you don't know who they are means you're young, so you just got a compliment) The next line after "Don't forget what you are" is "You're a rock 'n roll star".  I don't think the guy meant any insult by it.  OK, perhaps it's an unusual way to post, but, nonetheless, benign.
