Breeds tougher people, nuff said. Back to football. Throw off the Eagles cap for a moment and become realistic. What makes you think that the Eagles have a snowball's chance in hell of beating the Patriots? The only thing I can guess is that it is the faith of a true fan. Look, I am a Red Sox fan and sat speechless when they went three down to the Yankees in the ALCS last fall. So I know what hoping for the nearly impossible is like, and some times it works out, as it did with the Sox. But there was one characteristic about the Yankee players that the Patriot players do not show, the Yankee players were arrogrant and did not respect their opponent at the start of the series and respected them even less when they went three up. The Patriot players will respect the Eagles as they prepare to play them, during news conferences, and when they reach the field for the ultimate battle. The Patriot players are a low key, disciplined bunch, I do not think that the Eagles have shown that tendency with nearly the same consistency. I feel that when the game is on the line, the calm, sensible, disciplined bunch will prevail.
At least you have a team that plays good...aka...the Vikings are way too unpredictable. Good luck in the Superbowl!
SC
As a resident of Atlanta, I have to tip my hat to the Eagles. Job well done. I for one am not satisfied for just getting there and God willing, Vick will get some help and like the Terminator said "I'll be back!"
McNabb, go represent for all the Syracuse alumni!
Go Eagles beat the Pats!!
EAGLES!!!! Man this was a long time coming. Now let's make sure it ends on a better note than 1981, fellas!
Congratulations Philly fans!!
We finally get to see the Super Bowl we have all been waiting for Eagles-Pats. These two teams have arguably been the best teams in football over the last 4 yrs. No surprise just the best two teams, the way it should be. Too bad this match-up hasn't happened a few times.
The only draw back is two weeks of worthless hype.
Good Luck, NHughty
GO PATS!!!
...happily for us Eagles fans! Don't worry, though: You will still have your memories of the Red Sox and the ancient history of the Patriots last year...just remember it is colder in New England than in Philadelphia in February and March.... ![]()

Andy Ried is as disiplined and low key as you get.
Your secondary is banged up, the team is beat up and tired.
Give Andy Ried and Jim Johnson two weeks to form a game plan and they can beat anyone...this team will execute the game plan to perfection.
Brady should be very afraid of Trotter...that man is on a mission!

Reid does not play on the field. Would love to see 22 like him line up against the Pats, though. Next!

Ok, Ok. It only finished third in the tough as nails AFC with two big guns missing. One came back against the Steelers and played great. Oh yeah, by the way, that secondary only held the Colts to 3 points in the playoffs and humilliated the Steeler receivers until the game reached garbage time. Next!!

I will take the Pat's coaching staff over any other, any day, given two weeks to prepare. Next!!!
Brady should be very afraid of Trotter...that man is on a mission!
Oh Yeeaahhh! That is just what people were saying about the Steeler's Defensive Coordinator before last Sunday night. The poor guy is probaly still studying film to try and figure out what the shit hit him. Nexxxxt!!!!!
I thought you Philly guys were better than this. Come to New England for some brutally cold weather and great clam chowder. The combination grows backbone and improves logic at the same time.
1.He has 22 disaplined players lined up with a bench load more to help out.
2.Manning choked as usual & Rookie non mobile quarteback....enough said...He is no McNabb...If no one is open he can run.
3.I'll give the coaching staffs a tie, except no matter what they tell you the offensive coordinator is already at Notre Dame in his head, and the Defensive coordinator is on the phone being interviewed....
4.Trotter is on the field not on the sideline wearing head phones. He's a LINEBACKER not a coordinator
It's obvious you are full of more than clam chowder, are you that bored up there that you come looking for attention??? No ladies willing to see you? It takes alot of backbone to mouth off from a conputer.
Now go put on clean underwear and straighten your room little boy...because Joe Momma said so!!!!
The feel good stories (Jeff Thomason), the miracle plays (go back and look at the Vikings game--Freddie Mitchell catching the fumble by LJ Smith in the endzone), the machine-like performances of McNabb, Westbroook, Mitchell, the entire Eagle defense...the fever pitch in Philadelphia...plus a team that is far hungrier than the Pats (think of the Pats two years ago). And, don't believe everything the doctors say...T.O. will be there.
The Red Sox beat the Yankees for two reasons: The Sox wanted it more and the Yankees have gotten too expectant of championships.
The Pats are an outstanding team and my respect to them for their performance the past three years, but the team of destiny in Super Bowl XXXIX are the Eagles.
One team - One city - One dream.
