I'm here at the Bank on my laptop with my brother watching the parade route on my brother's portable TV. If anyone has ever seen "Return of the Jedi", you know the reference I am about to make. Recall the end of the movie, the celebration, as Luke looks away and sees the ghostly figures of the Jedi that shaped his destiny - Obi-Wan, Yoda, & Anakin. Today I see Paul Owens, John Vukovich, Richie Ashburn, & Tug McGraw. Whatta GREAT day!!! The weather is perfect and the city is, as Ricky Bottalico just said, "a madhouse". I hope it's not 25 more years before we do this again!!!
I tried to make it to the parade from South Jersey but wasn't smart (or awake) enough to leave early this morning. By the time I would have gotten to Broad St., the parade would have already been at the stadium and, alas, I've got to work tonight. (Hey, I have to make money to buy tickets for next season!)
Anyway, I'm back at home and watching the festivities on tv. It looks awesome. Enjoy!!!
