Just a reminder to everyone, it is really not a good idea to name particular hotels on a public board.  

I didn't mean to use the alias - that was a mistake - apologies.

Complicates things unnecessarily so. :s  

I know I may sound like Captain Obvious when I make the call, but when I'm using a hotel I've never used before, I call ahead saying "my mother just booked a room at your hotel and that she refuses to stay there unless she feels safe. Do you guys have secure elevators?" or something to that effect.  I don't call from my hooker phone and I don't use my real name, or my fake name.
