Any update to an old review makes it pop to the top as if it were new. A simple phone # change on a profile will do this for instance.  It's just the way the system is set up.  Yeah, it's a bit frustrating.

On May 30 at 11:45 pm I noticed about 15 reviews for May 30 and 31 combined.  Many of them were for providers who were last reviewed not more recently than April, March and January.  Melody, who worked for the original predecessor of Brickel, and retired in January, had 2 diiferent old posted reviews.  Was there a malfunction or something?

According to TER, when changes are made to the provider's profile it gets bumped to the top even though the last review may be quite old.  I've seen profiles with the last review as far back as 2004 and 2005 being bumped to the top.  Now WHY there would be changes to the profile for what is presumed to be inactive or retired providers, like Melody, is another question.  All of those with "Report New Website" have open problem reports, possibly because it isn't clear why they got bumped to the top.

Another oddity is when it happens, it happens several places and in large numbers. There are two other regional boards I look at where the exact same thing has happened with a high volume of old profiles floating to the top. This of course implies a system problem but as many times as I've seen it happen (four)I've never seen an explanation other than the one in the first sentence of this post.

Could someone by trying to post old reviews?? or is that not possible... you know for the credit...

I believe there is a forced restriction of only being able to go back three months so as of
June 1 someone can post a review for someone seen in March, April or May, 2007.  Can't go back any further than that.

Southpaws right about changes made to the providers profile, case in point is Melody, although she has been retired since January she was with Escort Elite, which is now Brickel.  Her profile shows the new phone number for Brickel.  Thats probably why her reviews appear again.

I didn't see any "new" reviews from anyone trying for a freebie.

So, now the mystery is over...I've always wondered WHY my profile was coming up with a "new" review when I couldn't find them.

Is the same applied when the reviews just disappear? I am pretty sure I had more, but when the new system was introduced many of my reviews just vanished.

Melody, she is not back and not listed on the Brickel.  Dam I got my hopes way up.  You cold bastards, I was so excited at the thought she was back.

I didn't say she was back, I wish she was as well, all I was saying is that they used the new phone number in her profile which in turn updated her reviews.

I too, miss Melody.

Question is - why would someone post a new phone number ?  Possible answer is because her profile is still up and by submitting a problem report (for new phone number) and having it accepted gives the person a couple days VIP credit.

It may also be a case of TER doing a change to ALL of the profiles with a certain phone number...
