While I was waiting in my car at the airport in Las Vegas, I was watching the people arriving.
In Asia, we bow to each other or shake hands. But here in the USA handshakes are only for a first meeting or business meeting.
As I was watching, it was clear who was there for business, who was there for pleasure and who was coming home. The longer a hug would linger and the warmer it was, the deeper and stronger the connection.
I could tell from that if the couple hadn't seen each other long time and really had strong feelings for each other because they had the longest hugs...with people gone only a couple of days the shortest. The boyfriend and girlfriend reuniting were the longest...longer than husband and wife...and longer than the short trip couples.
Anyway, I like USA method of greeting more than Asian. It's warmer and shows more feeling.
So gentleman, I hope that you will come and give me a warm hug... Megan ^^
