You are right. It is not professional or discreet to send out texts to clients, But some providers are just not discreet. You have to assume that and take some responsibility. Get a burn phone and use it only for the hobby. Some guys are ok with receiving unsolicited calls, texts or emails. Some providers will send only to the guys that said it was ok, some will never send out an unsolicited text, and some don't have a clue. Not long ago I received a group text announcing a girl's availability. That text gave me a whole bunch of other mongers' phone numbers and they had mine. Not discreet at all! You would be surprised at what you can find out by googling a phone number. In my case I have a hobby phone so it didn't much matter to me, but some of the other guys on the list, wow! Doctors, attorneys, bankers, with all their info exposed because they were not smart enough to use hobby phones.
