I am planning a trip to Indianapolis but was wondering if you guys prefer the airport area or downtown.

With the events of the Indy 500 during May, hotel prices tend to be expensive.  When were you pondering a visit?

...you should be ok visiting during the week because most of the activity is centered around the weekends leading up to the race, and of course race weekend, which is Memorial Day weekend.

The airport area is convenient, but downtown has a lot to offer. Indys downtown is a very clean safe city. lots of good food and drink to be had as well. Very nice as i am sure you deserve.

Watch out for me on May 19th and 20th then!!!!!!!
