I have just ended a long hobby break. There was a lady I wanted to see but she needed at least one recent (with in six months) reference before she would see me. So I booked with an old favorite of mine instead. Then armed with that reference I booked. Thing is she never checked that reference. I know as the lady I am using as a reference talk from time to time and I asked. What the heck? She gave me the run around to get one then booked with out even checking it. What is the point of requiring something for screening and not checking it?

I know you likely can't explain why, but I need to vent. It is just annoying.

No of course I can't You and I both know, only the lady in question knows her reasons. But that's okay. You are allowed to vent if it comes with a photo like that

I have found that using provider references cause lots of last minute cancellations.......hhhhhhhmmmmmmmm

So I will still gladly give provider references, but I no longer ask for them.  I can screen just fine more discretely and our times remains just that.  Our Time and nobody else's concerns!
