are there Any providers in the OC that will take a gift certificate as a dontation?

Some providers have been known to take Visa gift cards.  But usuall only from someone they already know and trust.

I would probably do it if we could check the status of the card online before the session began. Of course, that is if the gift card was to a place I might actually need to shop

I would also, I have before.  I don't take CC's and for some of my special friends I know they can't show that much cash loss to their SO's.  If I can verify that it is indeed activated at my favorite store then I would.  It's pretty simple and not that awkward to do.  I like it especially now, spending so much on my new house, then I can just order catalog from Home Depot..hint hint.
