if you don't mind the expense of living in CA, OC is not a bad place to be. the weather is definitely better than AZ. lots of folks in OC, and LA and SD are nearby. given your track record, i have no doubt that you'll have plenty of interest here.

BTW, newport, irvine, costa mesa, and HB are all decent places to live.  good luck.

I lives in Arizona many years ago and I love it here.  The weather, the beaches, the attitude.  You'll be very happy.  And not so hot (well, you're hot no matter what).
