With all this riot talk, would you say that is safe to hobby in Anaheim right now??

The "riots" were about as small as riots get. It was mostly a hundred or so trouble makers mixed in with a hundred or so protesters. The troublemakers got arrested or ran away and the protesters got bored and went home.

Anaheim has a very large police force, inordinately large for the size of the city. They also are pretty good at what they do and don't let things get too out of hand. Unfortunately that was also part of the cause of the trouble. Both police shootings occurred in areas of the city where you wouldn't be at night (at least you shouldn't be), one of them seems to be clearly police brutality and the police chief has said as much. The other happened after the guy shot at the cops, I'm sorry if you shoot at cops you should expect to get shot back at.

I do know that APD routinely runs street walker stings so I would avoid that at all costs. They seem to avoid hotel stings around Disneyland for obvious reasons.
