Does an "explanation" get me my hotel costs back?

More like misandry than “Contentment”.

I was canceled on suddenly a month ago and was never notified by the self proclaimed “Assistant Extraordinaire” subsequently costing me nearly $100 in unnecessary hotel arrangements.

   Several days ago I assumed that I was making a ‘booking’ with the same provider via our PM exchanges when she informed me of a planned returning junket and her desire to see me; but again all details were lost to the “Assistant Extraordinaire”. Then said “Assistant Extraordinaire” berates me in e-mail for NOT “booking’ through HER rather than the provider.
   
   When I inform the “Assistant Extraordinaire” I’m not clairvoyant and had thought my recent, prior PM’s with the provider were enough, and then further reminded the “Assistant Extraordinaire” of HER multiple past (and costly for me) trespasses while I’m still yet eagerly seeking a “booking” she tells me that I’m “negative and horrible’ and I should seek “therapy”.

   “Assistant Extraordinaire” now refuses to entertain my e-mail requests saying she shall “filter” all further solicitations despite my remaining infinitely polite throughout her ongoing impatience as well as her past and present abuse of me and my time.

   When I posted my dissatisfaction with my treatment and lack of professionalism from the “Assistant Extraordinaire” on the below referenced ad board I received anonymous threats against me in my PM box. And now it seems some sycophant of misandry has had it removed.

   The provider’s current advertisement is not hard to find on the OC regional “ad board”. Just look for the word “Contentment” 8/7/2014 at 4:45:36 PM, and a blatant shill post immediately following

It doesn't belong being splattered on the GD board, but it should be splattered elsewhere. Back in the old days hobbyists thanked one another for sharing information that could save us grief or money. Notice that he didn't jump the gun and post about it a month ago?

Anyone could have had your post removed through RAP, or admin may have caught it on their own. You are not allowed to post negative comments under a provider's ad.  

However, you can post it on the regional discussion board

Posting on the ad board is not allowed (in a negative context).

Put this up on the local board and hopefully TER will not allow the AE (Assistant Extraordinaire) to have it taken down.

Seems like gals need to find out the hard way(s) that some of these assistants are detrimental to their business.  She's certainly not the first assistant to pull this nonsense...and likely not the last.  But highlighting this to the other gals who may consider using her "talents", you're doing them a favor.  

Good luck in getting the word out on this AE.  I've found that backchannel is quite effective as well...I trust you know the locals who are adept at assisting you on that matter  ;)

The reason I chose THIS board is.......

the provider tours extensively. Just notifying the currently scheduled city seemed somewhat effete. And posting in multiple cities is often considered SPAMMING!

If she would treat you this way, why should I think that I would be treated any better?

This is what TER is all about, sharing information, naming names, and NOT rewarding bad behavior.

She is a very active TER participant, it's not like she is being denied her own soapbox if she would care to contest your version on the events in question, but it's not like you are some unknown, or alias poster that she can simply bully into shutting up. Your credibility after many, many years here can't really be called into question. Most guys don't have the balls to call out this kind of behavior under their "real" fake name and actually name names when they do it. Kudos to you for this warning

It was geography and logistics, not a "default charge"

I was 70 miles from home for a M&G, and I was booked to see the provider the next morning in the same city as the M&G. So instead of driving 70 miles home at late night only to drive 70 miles back the next day in Am rush hour traffic I took a room. The provider canceled her plans to attend the same M&G as well as the rest of her junket; but her assistant never notified me of her cancellation.

  I decided to lick my wounds and keep a positive outlook on the suffered disappointment and costs.

 What did I learn? I'm NEVER going to knowingly entertain seeing a provider who uses an assistant again is what I learned. I don't give a shit how hot they are or how effusive their reviews.

There are nice assistants out there, I know of one whom is MOST helpful she goes by "Betty".....  I like communicating with the person I see so I opt not to have one... There are good assistants out there

But there are also some really bad ones.

Trying to communicate with a gal that has one often can lead to misunderstandings.  As was the situation the OP had.

Have you gotten over to Millenium Park yet?  Those segway rides have your name on them  ;)

And since Miss Betty is far too pusillanimous to book me; the 'provider' can not even make it up to me if she was so inclined too. I'm now inclined to think both are closet misandrists, and possibly ALL the ladies who regularly utilize this "Miss Betty". "Birds of a feather DO flock together".

It was based on my personal, prior experiences with the person in question.  She's one of the good people in a business filled with flakes and potential arrests in a BSC world.

You may have missed my explanation too Gemma.

I explained too Gemma that I took a room in the city she was visiting the night before because I live the better part of 100 miles away. We were BOTH in LA for a M&G. Our appointment was for 10am the next morning. The provider NEVER made it to the M&G, and the uncaring, incompetent "assistant" for the provider never notified to inform me that the provider was NOT going to be able to make the appointment.  
I rented a room in a nearby hotel ONLY because I was planning to be in the same city as the M&G the next morning. If the worthless "assistant" had done her job and inform me 12 to 18 hours before the appointment which she surely COULD have I would have simply driven HOME after the M&G rather than rent a room for the night!  

 I in-fact texted the "assistant" at 08:00 hours on the morning of the planned appointment curious as to why the "assistant" who had ASSURED me of constant updates had not yet texted the hotel the provider was staying at. It was THEN she realized her incompetents; but tried to pass the blame off on the provider saying "I thought Maddie was going to contact you". "Maddie" supposedly was dealing with a sudden death in the family I was later told by the ineffectual but self proclaimed "Assistant Extraordinaire - Miss Betty".

Provider assistants

Wow, just when I thought I would never hear anything about this provider.   This just hit a nerve.

In my situation, she or whomever was in charge of her account sent me an advance text in advance to her visit here in LA.   So I tried to set up an appointment.  I was cleared the first time before on one of her visits here and thought this was going to sail through just fine.   While I did have to cancel out on her last time due to work emergency and since I was being sent by my work from LA to Orange County, the logistics was next to impossible to make the appointment.

Either way, in setting up new appointment, she sent me to her 'assistant'.   The 'assistant' took a look at my date-check and TER accounts and told me that I needed to be screened as a newbie.   The 'assistant' gave me a list of requirements to validate my person.  I gave everything except one where I have a website linking my name to the company I worked for work like a LinkedID.   And the assistant said that even if I were able to give all those information, there is no guarantee she will see me.  With all the personal information I have given so far, I just said my thank you and goodbye.   Instead of asking me for more information, I would rather the 'assistant' just said, "no sorry, but she refused to see you."   I don't need an explanation

Reminds me of an incident I had..

I was introduced to a lady from the other coast from a mutual friend and I was interested in meeting but the distance between us was the issue.

She finally was making a tour out this way, so I contacted her to say Hi and see how our friend is doing. Well, she had an "assistant" answering her emails.  So I told the assistant, I would be interested in seeing her when she visits a month later.  So, I was screened and penciled in for a time and date with in one hour.  I was impressed  with this assistant and was told, she would be emailing me 2 weeks ahead and 1 week ahead to let me know of her schedule.  

Well, 2 weeks came nothing.  1 week, nothing.  So I emailed her the weekend before and get a reply from another "assistant"   who had no clue of me.   So, this new one said, I have be fully screened, work, website and references.  I said nevermind and I got no reply over the weekend.  Monday I was emailed bombed by the lady and the assistant because they really wanted to make it happen but I passed.  I just could not take having two ongoing conversations with two different entities over one date.    

Im going to stick to ladies that will let me book direct and if I cant, prolly time to get a new hobby.

After having so many, once in a lifetime experiences, perhaps some revisits to them would save the wear and tare  on your adrenal glands, but it looks like you enjoy being combative. :(
