Two-part question, actually:

Rockside Road is about 9 miles south of downtown, I wouldn't consider it awesome.  
Beachwood is about 11 miles southeast of downtown, a more upscale area than Rockside

in fact I am running a special for gals from the Nati.  Stay at Ridgetuckys' for FREE and I will give you a Cincinnati sausage.

I wouldn't say awesome but tolerable.

Rockside is the place to do it for the reasons stated above. Do you have an idea of when you'd make the trip?!

Well, I don't need much pussy, but I do love the gays...and CVS.  

Like the others have said rockside is in the south west side of town it's easier to get downtown and to Lakewood which is a neighborhood you'd probable enjoy lots of bars and people under 30. And good resturants. Their are also lots of good resurants on rockside, aladins and melt also a melt in L.wood. In chagrin there is some super high end retail at eaton ( there's a Tiffany's store) and resturants  but then there is also corky & Lenny's deli which is awesome. But it takes longer and you have to go through more burbs to get downtown and Lakewood would be a haul 30 min at least. I live on the east side but I think rockslide would be a better choice for you to stay.

Rockside is popular and easy access for those of us south of Cleveland. Not really awesome.   Beachwood Chagrin is like kenwood mall area.  can't go wrong with either. Downtown is difficult with parking and most hotels require key card for elevators. Lakewood is fun and hip but no good for working

 Rockside is the place to stay.  Why?  
   
 It is near the airport and people coming/going does not attract attention.  Also easy access to Downtown.  I put it at about 15-20 minutes to Downtown (depending on traffic/time of day)  
   
 Beachwood I would avoid.  Suburban location and likely to draw more attention to coming/going.  
   
 Not that far from Downtown.  Not sure how much as I live on the opposite side of Cleveland.  But easy access to highway so drive to Downtown not far.

Rockside area is in Independence OH. It is a nice area centrally located at the intersection of 480 and 77.  It is 5-10 mins south of downtown Cleveland.  There are many hotels.  

Convenient from all points of Cleveland, many restaurants, and convenient to the airport....

Awesome?  It's the suburbs.  Nothing in the suburbs is awesome.

Well then Rockside it is, because London is my idol.
