Like many, I have been gone for a long time and now have to adjust to an environment that harkens back to pre-TER times. Still a few veteran providers around, but many of them are still isolating. So, there's lots of new and unreviewed escorts advertising and it becomes necessary to take greater risk than I had become comfortable with.

Noticed an ad for a cute, blond, 24 yr old, with no reviews, and reached out for a meeting. She would only communicate via text - no direct telephone conversation. First red flag. But, there are many who do it that way initially, so not a deal killer. We exchanged some texts, including an exchange of pictures. As I said, she was very cute. Noted that her texts were full of broken English - which didn't seem match the photos. Second red flag. But I can respect those who speak broken English because it means they speak another language (which is more than I can say). So, also not a deal killer. She asked if I was a cop. Rookie mistake (does anyone actually believe that a police officer has to disclose that if asked???) Then she sent a text saying something like "what are you looking for". Third red flag. Should have been a deal killer, but  I hung in there and responded "can we talk directly?" (Did I mention she was very cute?)

Instead she directed me to a site named "Bookingme" or "Safecasualdating", supposedly for screening. Completed the booking form (full name, address, email, phone number, etc) but stopped when it asked for my credit card number! Sent her a text saying I had no problem with any of the requested info - but was not willing to give out a credit card number. She replied that was only to prove that I was who I said I was. "Promised" me that the card would not be charged.

I said no way. Suggested we first meet in public for drinks (actually, that has always been my preferred way to meet new providers). Offered to pay her hourly rate for the meeting. Then, if she was the girl in the pictures and if we appeared to have some chemistry, I was interested in booking a multi-hour date. If either of us were uncomfortable for any reason, she would still get a paid hour. Offered to give her whatever screening info she needed (name, address, employment, photo ID, etc). I'm single, not subject to any sort of blackmail, and understand why providers need to know who they're meeting. So I have no problem with any of that.

But no. She (or he - or whoever was on the other end of these texts) said "please complete my booking form - then we can meet safely. I'm sooo looking forward to it". If she was truly concerned about her safety, that made no sense.

Finally sank through my apparently thick skull that this was a complete sham and broke off communication. Really disappointed. Really pissed off to realize again just how many scammers are hovering around this community and wasting my time. Hope that no one falls for this shit.

If there are still any rookies out there in Ohio TER world - be forewarned.
