Anyone else find it a bit off-putting in this day and age? It seems that operating outside the law, some businesses will still operate like it's the '50s. Personally, I don't think I could bring myself to see a girl who had a policy like that even if she looked like Faye Reagan and was giving it away.

Not an expert by any means....but...I can only recall seeing that with BP girls or similar.  Not trying to judge all the providers that advertise there...I'm sure there are diamonds in the rough and all that.  Where do you see this most often?  I've not ever seen it with what I consider to be mid to higher end providers.  Also....I've seen it said elsewhere that this is an indication of a "managed" provider and it prevents competing recruiters, etc.  

At the end of the day, there may be many reasons for this...it may just be a decision based on preference or even past experience.

I think there is a similar trend of ageism. It is common for girls to seek/only see "mature/older" gentlemen. As a younger guy (well, 35 is younger in this biz as far as I can tell), I've never been asked my age before or during, except casually when it wouldn't matter. I don't know if the racists check either. Not that it matters.

What else can you do?  You cannot force reason upon them in their hearts. We live in a country where homosexuals can't get married. Where women are still paid less than men for the same work. I am a hetero white male, and although I've experienced racist/sexism/ageism and other prejudices in life, it has never really affected my sense of self. I know a lesbian who has described horrible treatment at such random places as hardware stores and jewelry shops. I don't get it. I have hope for humanity, but at the same time, feel disconnected from it.

I have never thought that a provider having a preference with regard to age,race, or any other factor is out of line at all. I myself have preferences for body type, age,etc and certainly all hobbyists do as well. If a person has a preference for people their own age or race then that does not make them evil. What would be racist is if a provider did not put out there that she prefered one race over another but did in fact prefer one over the other and took the donation from both but gave one better service than the other.

As far as comparing this type of profession to others, well that is ludacris, most professions/jobs do not require such an intimate connection being made, physical anyway, with the customer. It is one thing to work at McDonald's and not want to serve a particular race of people, it is another to be asked to be sexual with a person of a certain race or age that you are just not comfortable with.

I would imagine these girls with preferences get enough abuse from people who are "x" ed out so they I am sure have a sincere preference. This whole thread has been very interesting. I confess that I have never thought about how anti-discrimination laws might relate to this business. Probably impossible to enforce any discrimination claim in the courts bc the whole enterprise is illegal. But, aside from that, the questions are still sharp.

It has little to do with the color of the clients skin.
