Conveniently located at intersection of two highways, so easy to get there from all points of the compass.

Also, no parking costs, which would be troublesome if you were staying downtown.

Plenty of restaurants close by too.

The touring ladies I have seen did as you have done.

Since I don't work DT, going there for a date would be a challenge, while Independence is easy.
