Based on his posts below;

One of your favs is suddenly reported as a rob. Do you continue to support her because she's never done YOU wrong? Does character count or not?

When good providers go bad

Am I missing something? As far as I can see, none of the girls that thegoodsh has reviewed have been reported as ROBs.

Based on his posts concerning ethics below. He inspired this post.

Do YOU continue to support a rob even though she hasn't wronged YOU?

It really would depend on what happened.  One bad report does not a bad SP make.  I'd communicate with her and proceed carefully but ultimately, I can only judge from my own experiences with someone, not what other say they experienced.

It goes the other way too.  Just because you hear that an SP gives perfect service, it may not turn out that way for you.

I don't doubt I posted something about ethics, but I'm not sure what you are talking about.

To answer you question, it depends on what the nature of the "ripoff".

If she just gave a guy lousy service, but she continues to give me great service - I'd probably chalk it up to YMMV. And I'd probably almost feel better about spending time with her. I'd never post a positive review of her - without heavy caveats about YMMV - because I don't want someone else to be disappointed.

If her service is lousy - and I expect and am okay with the lousy service she gives for some reason (she looks like a girl I wanted to bang when I was in HS). I would post an honest and clear review of her and why I was willing to put up with the lousy service in this case.

If she was accused of cash-n-dash, and it is something which you could imagine her doing (but which she's never done to you), I'd be more likely to hold off judgement - but also be wary of seeing her again.

If she actually did a cash-n-dash, or some other scam - and admitted to it. I would definitely hold it against her.

In all cases, character counts. To me, I owe the rest of the community honesty and respect - because I expect this from people. I hate it when guys post reviews which are in any way dishonest or unclear. The whole point of posting reviews is to help other people - not yourself.

I also can't stand guys who have just a few reviews, but post on this board all the god damn time. You clearly have something to say, you clearly use this site for information, you clearly can type. So share. Give back, or pay it forward.

If you think paying the people who make this site is in any way equivalent to posting reviews, you're an asshole and a leach.

I was starting to think very highly of you.

Intelligent, thoughtful posts. Interesting reviews. You were becoming a favorite.

Then ... BAM!

Out of nowhere - and completely off topic ... you call me an asshole and a leach.

Isn't it odd how quickly our perception of another can change?

So much for that budding bromance.

Hey, I believe in tough love. And I like to BAM people. I'm always going off-topic. It's the way my brain is wired. Everything is connected to everything else.

I think that many guys justify it by thinking they are paying for the site - but the cost to run a site like this is tiny. The important thing is the reviews. It keeps us safer, and helps us find what we are looking for.

I do think that you should post reviews. Especially if you have a negative experience.
Just like I think you should donate to Wikipedia and NPR (if you use these things).
It's easy not to. I get it. You'll survive my aggravation

Yeah - I expect I'll probably survive.

And there's hope -  bc I do donate to NPR (but Wikipedia? ... Who the hell donates to Wikipedia?)

For lots of reasons, I don't want to share what happens on my dates. Never was a "kiss and tell" guy in high school either (well ... almost never). Wrote one only bc a great provider - who I had seen a lot - and who had carved out a successful UTR niche in central ohio for several years - moved out of state to pursue her education. She was having trouble getting established in her new digs, so I agreed to write her a review. Then TER wouldn't publish it bc I was a first timer and it was her 1st review - so I wrote a second one.

Knock on wood, but in 3 1/2 yrs, I haven't yet had a rip-off experience. Had some disagreements, disappointments and misunderstandings - met some girls who were quite fragile emotionally or psychologically - but nothing that was a clear rip-off or clear danger to others. I'm sure that's largely because I make use of the great resource provided by TER (and possibly bc of my somewhat unorthodox approach to hobbying). I understand that I am leaching off of everyone else to avoid trainwrecks. I do pay for that privilege. Promise if I ever do have a bad one, I'll let everyone know.

Meanwhile, I'll continue to try to annoy the hell out of you. Hope you can survive that too. If you do, there might be hope for us yet bro.
