Wyndham has no key cards. Hyatt and renaissance do

I'm heading up there Saturday and just thought I'd ask y'all: is Beachwood an alright place to stay? Or should I stick down downtown? I'm kinda meh about Independence so I'd prefer one of the aforementioned options. Thoughts?

there are a few nice hotels in that area, great shopping @ legacy village and beachwood place if your into that, so it can be a very nice area

beachwood pro's:higher end area(hotels,shopping,rest.ect)
                         con's:futher from downtown(da!)and airport
p.s.not sure about l.e.
downtown pro:closest to all area's and can walk to shopping, house of blues, rest.
                con's:it's downtown,parking a bitch 8-5 weekdays

Many of the downtown hotel elevators are key-carded which can be a problem.  Beachwood is a nice area with higher end hotels but that may limit west side guys from traveling that far

God key card elevators are such a bitch. I'm leaning towards downtown, so I hope I can find one without that asinine feature.

I've stayed in all 3 areas and I like Beachwood and Independence the best because they have the jacuzzi's in the rooms :)

As evidenced by these beautiful 'Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Videos'.
