NFR: Not Fucking Related

Ok, I know this is a fuck-board...so call me a mangina, flame me, do your worst.  Outside of my penchant for pussy, the lengths I will go to to get it, and how the "regular world" would view that lifestyle.....I like to think I am a pretty nice guy.  I find it very rewarding to help other people.

I had the chance today and I took it.  It came in the form of someone needing a significant bit of $$ help.  I was able to meet the need for this person.  We only know each other through a few recent interactions. The individual was surprised that a virtual stranger would offer this help no questions asked.  A child is involved (not mine you skulduggerous fiends) which was another motivator for me.  It bothers me to see children suffer because it is almost never by their choice.

A few months ago, a similar 'appointment' occurred.  I saw a young woman begging on the side of the road.  She couldn't have been more than 25 yrs old.  But, she looked so forlorn holding a sign "my family is hungry, anything helps".  I got her a food gift card to a local restaurant and loaded it up with enough for many meals.

Just curious if others out there seek opportunities like this to help others

Other than giving to my favorite charities I'm reluctant to just give cash to strangers. I like the idea of a food card though Ive worked in neighborhoods where I've seen them sold for pennies on the dollar. I try to give as much of my time as I can to my two most important causes. Pan can, pancreatic cancer charity and the special Olympics. Both causes are very important and deeply personal for me so I give as much of myself to them as I can. Kudos to you for helping a stranger in need. Nothing feels better than giving with the expectation of nothing in return.

I 100% agree.  99 times out of 100....I will not give cash/check, etc.  My exception is well known/reputable charities when I get a receipt.

I am very reluctant to just give cash.  I've gone so far as to buy a bag, fill it with non-perishable foods, and give that.  Or offer to take someone to dinner, etc.  I'm always concerned with contributing to a bad habit such as drugs, alcohol, etc.

Nice to hear about your PC and SO efforts!

There's just so many out there. I help when so moved, and don't really think about what they might do with the money.

out begging public, that need help also.all my charity money goes to local food banks.(80%of people on food stamps have at least one household head working)i tend to give money to people on the streets also.i know iam lucky to be able to that.i wish everyone who is able
to, help those more needy.to me that's godliness
