up to you.....It's your business & you get to be the one to decide if your putting more into it that it should be a little more.......If you have the toys availible for you to use, or will you need to be purchasing supplies?  
I've had some guys bring their own toys.
In the begining I was creative of what to get while on a budget & used regular things around the house, like a wooden stiring spoon (som guys loved it cuz the handle was long & round so it had multiple uses), & scarfs to tie them up with, this gave them extra memories when at home in their kitchen.....they reach for the spoon to stir a big pot of chilli & passionate moments with me popped in their heads.

I say go for it honey, and I charge a bit more because you are right, it is much more intense. I am learning the bondassage also, and will be adding that to my services once I am certified in it, so the ,materials and supplies are not cheap at all. When one wants a session, then I will let them know upfront this is what the cost is for it. I see no problems with that. I too have a male slave that is very experienced, and always willing to be there to help out.

First things first- BDSM, in the "real" sense, can have everything to do with sex, and does for many people. No matter how deep or "hardcore" you go into the leather community you will find people for whom it is a sex thing. Yes, there are hundreds of pro-dommes out there who write BDSM IS NOT SEXUAl on their personal sites- this is for legal purposes, not a statement about the BDSM community.

You'll want to develop your skills to the point where you feel comfortable playing without your bf present- it's not bad to have someone else there, but the market for guys who feel comfortable playing with another guy in the room is more limited. I'd suggest privately messaging some different pro-dommes, who are more on the sex-positive side and ask if you can apprentice. You may wind up paying them for their time, or perhaps getting a small share of their session fee if you participate with a real session, depending on who you talk to and what arrangement you make.

This is important, because you should really, really, develop ties in the BDSM side of the hobby because being able to provide these services is a major investment. If you want to be taken seriously as a Domme, you'll need access to the good quality toys, restraints, dungeon gear, and an actual space to use- usually when clients pay for a BDSM provider they expect it to be incall in an equipped space. So before investing all sorts of money into building your own dungeon, you'll want to have access to one to use to establish a reputation and make sure it's something you like doing.

Finally, there's the non-pro BDSM community, which is where you can find a limitless wealth of knowledge about the gear, activities, and lingo. They're a great group of people who are very conscientious about making sure people play safely and are well informed. However, a long history of community persecution has led to them being extremely uptight about legalities- so please, keep the fact that you are a provider to yourself. Use this community for learning how to play, not for networking for clients or other providers. You can start with fetlife.com, which is a great free social network for kinky people.

Also- regarding return on your investment- experienced, skilled pro-dommes usually charge a bit more than 150 per hour. And here's the kicker: providers with access to well-equipped dungeons, who really know what they're doing when it comes to BDSM, and will also provide FS, BBBJCIM, and integrate those services into a BDSM session, are very, very rare. There are a lot of guys out there who would want such a provider, and you'd have the market in Ohio almost cornered.
