It's a meaningless term, like many hobby terms. Think of all these hobby terms  as marketing, just like Madison Ave. uses in ad copy to sell to consumers . Nothing more, nothing less.

I have noticed in a lot of provider ads the term "open minded" mentioned quite often. My question: Is there some hidden message here? I know what open minded means just trying to learn all the proper terms in the hobby.

...it means the menu is more expansive...and possibly more expensive

When I put open minded on an ad it means; I'm receptive to new things or things not specifically listed on my ad, don't be shy shoot me a message, it never hurts to ask.
