Now that we got a little advertising on TER's home page, a lot of members have discovered the Newbie board. I always appreciate the many more experienced TER members who regularly stop by here to field the questions. I hope that we don't clutter the board with redundant questions like "What does YMMV or BBBJ mean?" and so on. I also wonder if it's the best idea to refer people offsite to a definitions page.
Helpers, if we could get on the same page. We we see basic questions (most often term definitions) repeated over and over, in your reply please remind people that there is already a wealth of information in the archives of this board, I would really appreciate it.
The "Find Message" link is located at the bottom left on the front page of each TER discussion board. You must search each board separately but you can search each board by key word, message author, or a date range.
We're happy to answer your questions but there's a wealth of information already available here. You're wasting a great resource by not checking it out.
Please understand that when you frist find this site and come to it, there are so many options and so much reading to do that it is a little difficult to find out where you're supposed to go first.
Although, if a Definitions Page was added with a link on the top menu bar, a user could just click it, open a pop up window, scroll down to YMMV and find out what it means.
And a page that lists Rip-off Warning Sign indicators would also be a great help to new people.
I like that your asking for help but the last time I suggested this I got some curt smart ass answer. I think this is a very useful site and I applaud all of your efforts to make it a success, so I hope you'll take the above into consideration.
members made use of the Find Message feature. It is extremely powerful. I use that constantly to provide links and check past discussions about a lady.
Many of my posts now have phone numbers listed alongside with names and links of ladies. Using Find Message to check back is just like doing a VIP Search.
to Staff's response are 5 days later (His response was not timely either), he probably hadn't read that.
I think mostly for legal reasons, TER preferred not to provide directly info related to this hobby. For example, the common hobby terminology page had been eliminated. As it currently stands, TER is a posting forum. Information is provided by and shared among members. The 1st amendment Freedom of Speech protection is extremely strong.
It is better to just initiate things ourselves. That's why I use the regional boards to post lists of potential ROBs and B&Ss or send Staff problem reports.
Unfortunately it looks like your attempt to purchase VIP membership has failed due to your card being declined. Good news is that we have several other payment options that you could try.
