Had my first hobbying experiences this weekend and was truly disatisfied.  Oh, the girls were nice enough, and were very sweet.  But, when I met them, I did not even want to do anything with them.  If I saw them in a club, I would never have considered approaching.  The pictures and stats on line were like false advertising and the reviews by hobbyists were so blown out of proportion.  If these girls were 8's and 9's and representative of what's out there, I'm done.  It's just not worth it.  I was attracted here because of the fantasy that this world had to offer.  Thinking that I am now getting to an age where it probably isn't going to happen between me and a 20 something beautiful girl, and because I was a late bloomer in my own personal life, I craved the fantasy of being with what I could not normally have.  And I don't mean to be mean or stuck up. It's just the reality of the situation.  Maybe, my expectations are too high.

Looks are very subjective.

You will probably have to be prepared to shell out very big bucks, up to $1,000 hour to get providers who litterally could be cover models, if that is what you are looking for.

it's hard to say.  Also don't know what your expectations were.  I will say this, I don't think you were thorough enough in your research on these ladies.  If you had been, one of two things would have happened.  One, you would not have been disappointed.  Two, you would not have made dates with them.  I would never go to a date with a provider unless I had a very good idea of what she looked like.  

I don't think you're being mean or stuck up, I just think you didn't check them out sufficiently.  Read their reviews, with VIP so you can see the ratings and juicy details.  Look at their websites for pics.  PM other guys that have reviewed them.  Google the phone numbers, verify the pics with tineye or google search.  There is a lot to do before making a date with any provider.  If you are careful, there are plenty of 20-somethings out there that will see you and make you enjoy the time.

I've been doing this a year and have seen 40+ providers during that time (including a number from the top 100), and I've only been blown away by a providers looks a few times.  I totally get that one guy's 10 is another seven, but the reality is there are way too many inflated 9s and 10s out there and the abuse of Photoshop is rampant. I've got no problem Photoshopping a zit, but when the computer magically takes off 20lbs, gives the provider a nose job, removes scarring or fundamentally changes her appearance it can be discouraging to say the least.  I've seen "models" whose photo shoots look like they are straight from penthouse and playboy, but the reality is a girl that wouldn't even turn your head in a grocery store, and I've seen girls with average pics that are 10s in person (always a nice surprise).

For some guys the performance is king, and because they can't give an 11 or 12 in performance, appearance gets inflated.  For others TER inflation has occurred and 9 is the new 7. (All you need to do is find a provider with several years of reviews and you'll likely see a creep in the appearance scores.)  Does this mean that providers get more attractive with age? It's possible, but not probable.

The reality is that even for $1,000/hour, you may end up kissing a frog or two.  The key is to go into an appointment with lowered expectations that way you are never disappointed and occasionally you get a pleasant surprise. Also, if you PM the guys that reviewed the girl you want to see, you may get a more honest opinion than was stated in the review.  For example, one guy I PM'd about a nine he gave said that she was really a seven in looks, had saggy breasts, smelled like smoke (all not in the review), but she offered BBFS so he bumped up the score (also not in the review). If I had just read the reviews, I would have booked and been disappointed, but because I did additional due diligence, I saved myself $400 and a disappointing lunch.

VIP is great for two reasons.  First you can read reviews and get details you need, but you can also take your due diligence a step further with the PM function.

Provided you're up to attending a M&G, it's a good way to see the ladies up close and personal without spending the bucks for a session. You'll need to be screened by the host/hostess, and there's normally a fee to attend. Use the General Board drop down window to see if there are M&G where you hobby.

I go to the M&Gs in Los Angeles and it's really helped me a lot when it comes to deciding on who to see. Not only do you the benefits of seeing them in person, you also get to spend some time with a lady to see what she's really like.

I appreciate all the responses here.  I am a vip, and usually read the reviews carefully.  I look for an indication that the pics are real before I go further.  I also have taken the word of the web site when it says 5'4" and 110 lbs at face value.  Never did I expect a 25 year old in this business with stellar reviews to be 160lbs and come with make up caked all over her face.  The idea of a young provider should be the freshness and youthful beauty they naturally posess.

Now, assuming you have VIP, read the juicy details and see if she sounds like fun to be with; don't just go by the performance scores.

The providers on average didn't look quite like their pictures. This includes, weight, shape, complexion and age.  To be fair, some look better, younger, thinner and cuter and probably need to put away the iPhone and get a professional photographer, but others...I one case I was looking for the photoshopped image of a 31-35 year old and I met a completely different looking 45 year old.  I asked her if she had seen provider X, and she said, Oh that's me...scratch that one off the list.

The dudes that attend are another interesting sight to behold too.

You may not be able to tell how old she is from her face, but the neck and the hands will tell an interesting story and give you some insight into her age.  

I know it sounds like I'm reducing a person to the sum of their parts, but when you have limited information to work with, you need to use more creative resources to help you satisfy those high expectations.  It's all about the due diligence, then it's all about enjoying the fruit of your labor.

I am saying this with absolute truth. Earlier tonight I was standing in the checkout line of my favorite grocer. I looked at a hot woman on the cover of the magazine and silently noted that I had bed a young provider that looked just like the woman on the magazine, only years younger. I took a closer look for the name of the model on the magazine and realized the woman was the gorgeous actress Charlize Theron. Such is the quality of women that I have bed.

One tactic that I have learned over years is that certain features give a provider away. If you are concerned about age, look at the hands, knees, upper chest, neck and hairline that meets the provider's neck. If you prefer older providers, none of those areas should be smooth. Older providers will have signs of veins showing on the top of her hand, younger providers will not. Older providers will have small folds in their knees. Older providers will not have smooth skin in the upper chest and lower neck or around their hairline. There are exceptions, but seldom.

A provider will be no better looking than her worst looking photo. Even when the pictures are glamorized. Pay attention to the pictures where the provider looks the least hot, that picture is closer to the woman that you will meet when the door opens. If the least hot picture turns you on, or at least does not dampen your interest, set up a date.

Lastly. You know what type of women that you prefer. Choose providers that make you hot and want to bewith them. The hobby is about living fantasies that we can't live in real life for many reasons. Make decisions that have you living your fantasies, don't let a setback stop you. Just smarten up when chosing.

I am also new to this, so far I have been happy with the looks of the two providers I have seen.

To start with, I made a rule that I would only see providers where I could see the face clearly, in a number of pictures from a number of angles.  The face is really important to me for looks and so no matter how good the body looks in a photo I try not to break that.

Also it helps if there are a lot of photos, it's harder to edit out every issue a photo might reveal over a broad range of photos.

I try to find providers with recent reviews that say the photos look like them.  You can't rely on the review statistics much it would seem, as some of them were set long ago and the age may be really off by now (for example).  

I also look over the regional ads both on here and other sites, if you follow them for a while you might find some really great looking touring providers visiting your area or the area you plan to travel - one theory I have is that touring providers generally look better on average, possibly because the better looking women can find clients easier.  

I think you can find what you are looking for, just be very selective about booking.  As you say, it's not worth it otherwise...

The hobby world is very subjective. Sometimes girls get high marks because they are popular in their hobby cliques. Remember that popular girl in high school that wasn't really much to look at, but guys would line up to date her simply because she was popular. Same principal applies in the hobby world.

Here's a quick guide to finding what you are looking for, your personal fantasy:

1)Decide what your fantasy is, and don't worry if it's not everyone else's.

2) First look at photo's for the physical characteristics you crave. Even if face blur is used you should still have clues to what the lady looks like- look closely. Are the photo's old? From 5 years ago? An honest escort should update her pictures at least every 3-6 months.

3) Before you contact the lady read her reviews, get VIP it's worth it. Some gents don't give very much detail in the general section.

4) When you contact a lady for an appointment silently screen her as she is screening you. Is she professional in contact?

5) When you arrive and she isn't what you expected walk away. This only applies if she hasn't been exactly honest in advertisements. If she is an honest representation of her ads, but just not your type you still need to pay her full donation even if you decide not to stay. Remember this world is probably foreign to you right now, and it takes time to learn the language. It took me a good year+ to get my ideal type of clients.
