I just read the newbie FAQ's and was surprised to read that some (or most?) providers don't allow multiples per session.  I always assumed it was as many times as you can during the time you agreed on.  If I'm paying for the hour, do they leave immediately after the 'pop' even its not very long?  What if I'm paying for multiple hours?  

Also, is it safer for me to agree to one hour and then offer to pay them to stay longer when they get there?  That way if they rip me off and take the envelope and run, I'm only out one hour (although I feel safe after doing all the research).

No, most high reviewed providers will give you multiple pops in 1 hour (usually 2, 3 if your a stud and a mustang). Some non-reviewed providers, you have to ask them when you arrive at their location, don't ask them over the phone other wise you'll hear a disconnection signal.

If you stay 1 hour, then pay for the hour, and decided to stay longer, make sure the provider knows ahead of time because she has other appointments to keep. So, some will say sure, while others no, especially with agencies, Indies may be more open. Don't try to take the envelope and run if you r shorthanded, talk to her and request the discount back for the rate. Its never a good idea to take the envelope and run out of the hotel, you'll attract many unwanted attentions and I'm not going to be specific about that--just don't do it, you've been warned.

Some providers will reference MSOG , cups, etc. for what is allowed per session. Some flat rate and if you can do your deed three times then good for you. Others will list specials for say 15 - 30 minutes (more common on bp, etc) which is typically a one shot deal. Yes, it seems to be more possible with indies than with agency girls (as I have been both.....). A good, reputable provider will give you your 60 minutes of time for the hour or you 120 minutes for your 2 hours unless you have made note you have to leave early. You may just hang out and chat or shower or whatever you two want to do during your "down time" but you would get your full time. So, read, research, research and read reviews to be safe

I mean, we took a shower, got all ready, drove across town, and "paid" an hour or so of our time so you better bring your A-game, buddy.

But seriously, when an ad says "special" on backpage, that's really a half hour session (or even 5 minutes in some cases). You can't advertise for less than an hour on backpage, so it's generally one round if you are paying less than 150 and it's a "special."

A full priced one hour session should be all the Scrabble you can play! (or she might even hang onto you while you are trying to leave, "Again, again... why are you leaving..."

He was concerned about having the funds for a multiple hour appointment stolen if a girl decided to grab the cash and dash.  He wasn't going to run himself.

If you stick with well reviewed providers, there is little chance of something like that happening.  Remember, they have to schedule their lives too, so its better if you let them know you want a multiple hour session in advance.  That way you won't be disappointed if you want to extend but they cant accomodate you.

as many have schedules to keep.  That said, I have extended successfully when the lady had the time available.
Very often anything advertized as "Special" is lesser cost but expect lesser time & lesser services.  If you just want a quicky, ok.  It takes me longer than that to get undressed!   Actually one lady I did extend with initially keft her sexy bra partly one...  part of the deal was it came off.  Wish she was around again...  
Honestly 1 hour is a good first meeting...   If you want a repeat visit, think about more time if you want.
