Always walk when there is anything that seems out of place or potentially dangerous.  There will always be another day to party if you walk away from anything that doesn't seem right...

I'm not exactly a novice, but I just moved to Chicago and haven't seen any providers yet. I got the urge tonight, so I called up an agency I found on eros that had a few good reviews on TER. Not surprisingly for a Sunday night, only one provider was available. The agency calls her to confirm the time.

A few minutes later I get a text that the provider will be a little late. No big deal. About 15 minutes before the scheduled time, I get another text saying the provider will be another 20 minutes or so late because she's been drinking. Uh oh. I text back saying I'm not cool seeing a drunk provider, but the agency says she's just had a couple drinks with friends. I get the address for the incall apartment and head over. When I arrive, the agency tells me to wait five minutes and then buzz up to the apartment.

So after five minutes, I walk up to the building and there's a group of three people already there--two women and a man. I'm close enough to overhear the woman's cell phone conversation. She's asking to be let up to apartment #X, where X is the same apartment number I've been given. She's buzzed in and all three walk in together. I, on the other hand, turn around immediately and hail a cab.

I sent a text to agency describing what I saw and that I'm sorry, but I just can't walk into that situation. They try to re-assure me, but I'm already on my way home.

I didn't think it was LE. The worst thing I could imagine was that I could've been robbed. Or it could have just been a really awkward session with drunk buddies giggling in the next room. Either way, I wasn't up for it.

So, was I right to listen to my gut? Or was I being too cautious?

You had no idea what was going on, and what might happen, you were thinking with the big head, instead of the little head. I would have done the same thing. The minute I overheard the 3 were going to the same apt. I would have bolted. When I see a provider, I like it to be me and the provider, period.

I would find a new agency as well. I would have ran away from that mess. You could have been robbed, but most likely not. Having a crowd for p4p and sex in general is not cool. Also parties attract cops. A good agency would never send you into a mess like that. Good call getting out of there and not thinking with the little head.

Obviously the lady had been out partying and her friends decided to follow her home to continue the activity.  She probably left on them to take the appointment.

Even if she had sent them away, it would have been embarrassing for you.

and I agree as well, you did the right thing.

At best you would have had a rushed, distracted session with a drunk, knowing her friends were hanging around in the backround, at worst.......??? well let's not even go there.

You can NEVER be overly cautious,

You absolutely did the right thing, leaving was the right thing to do, things didn't feel right and most likely weren't going to be right

My gut feelings rarely let me down.....

Your first reaction is usually the right one.  You can never be too cautious when it involves your safety.  xoxo
