When I screen, I check EVERYTHING a hobbyist gives me. I've had several hobbyists use TER as a means to validate themselves as a legit hobbyist. How can I verify that they're a reviewer here?

Click on the Reviews tab, then the Search submenu and select 'Search by Reviewer'. There you can enter either his TER handle or his email. How much you see may be limited if you don't have full VIP.

Most serious hobbyist will be VIP.

I tried that. Unless you're a VIP you can't see anything. Not even a list of his reviews.

It would be nice if TER had better access for Providers to keep themselves safe. being able to verify a member here makes things a little more comfortable when seeing a hobbyist for the first time. After all, it is the providers that make this site possible. The only way we can use it to our advantage is to pay, whereas, a hobbyist has an option of being able to review providers in lieu of a VIP membership.

Providers with free limited VIP can read their own reviews in full, and send and receive PMs. That's more than us guys can do without full VIP. I am surprised to hear that you can't at least use the 'Search by Reviewer' to see his history, if not the full reviews.

Obviously, P4P could not exist without providers, however I believe it's reviews and membership payments that make TER possible.

I don't necessary need to see what a hobbyist reviews were. I'd be content with seeing how active he is in the sport and seeing that he at least has seen several other providers. As it is now, when a hobbyist says he's on TER, it's useless info for me since I have no way to verify that.

As a community, we all need to keep each other safe. I'm surprised that TER doesn't allow for that.

Plus just because he has reviews doesn't mean he is safe. There is no replacement for real verified traceable information or references in this game. If I was a provider I would require one or the other and could not care less if he belongs to TER or not. I would not take TER as screening even if they had white listings without contacting the ladies that gave them to him.

My screening starts with an interview and a million questions. I just verify every piece of information they give me and it's hard to verify they're TER membership. TER reviews alone won't get you an appt with me. It just adds to your credentials and kinda helps me figure out who I'm meeting.
